Yuri Hulchuk, The 23-year-old Ukrainian Marine was captured defending Mariupol on April 12, 2022. In captivity, he was brutally tortured.
When he finally returned home in September 2024, Yuri could barely speak. He struggled to eat and appeared unable to recognize his own mother. She had spent more than two years desperately searching for him.
His speech gradually returned. He began communicating again and underwent rehabilitation, rebuilding a life that Russian captivity had tried to destroy.
Now, Yuri is communicating normally; he stated that he wants to study again and focus on learning foreign languages.
Yuri Hulchuk is a reminder that captivity can break a body and scar a mind, but it cannot erase the human will to survive and continue to go forward!
You can't defeat these people! 🫡🇺🇦❤️

🐟🌊 A rare ocean sunfish was spotted in Israel’s Red Sea near Eilat. Usually found in the open ocean, sightings in Israel are exceptionally rare. Another reminder of the remarkable marine life found beneath Israel’s waters. 🇮🇱
Israel has informed the US:
The October 7 terrorists have no immunity; Israel is willing to negotiate regarding those who did not take part in the massacre.
Israel will reach every single one of them.

“It was always bad. And now it’s at a breaking point.”
That’s how a VA psychologist described mental health care for veterans after the Trump administration hollowed out the system meant to serve them.
That same psychologist described one-on-one sessions for the veterans who need them most being pushed online, with some cut to as little as 16 minutes. In one case, individual therapy was replaced by group sessions packed with as many as 35 veterans at once.
Hundreds of mental health staffers have left the VA under this administration and haven’t been replaced. So when a veteran needs more time, more care, more attention, it simply isn’t there. The VA now has around 500 fewer psychologists and psychiatrists than it did a year ago, and the numbers keep falling.
This is the countrys largest health care system, serving 9 million veterans.
They face mental health challenges at higher rates than the rest of us. They die by suicide at roughly twice the rate.
When their care is neglected, it costs lives.
Secretary Collins was handed a fundamental responsibility, and veterans are paying the price for his failure to meet it. We must not stay silent while those who served scream out for someone to listen.

Many cities around the world installed Dance Chimes, a foot-operated chime-like musical instrument that consists of 9 bronze tiles, with mechanical sound elements under each.
This is in Magdeburg, Germany, where dogs love it so much.

The Moroccan border town of Fnideq (Castillejos), adjacent to the Spanish enclave of Ceuta, was one of North Africa's main recruitment hubs for ISIS, as authorities brace for another attempted mass crossing after last week's migration crisis.
At the height of the Syrian conflict in 2015, an estimated 400 of the roughly 1,200 Moroccans who traveled to Syria and Iraq to join ISIS reportedly came from Fnideq.
Among them was Mohamed Hamdouch, known as "The Decapitator," who became infamous for posing with the severed heads of victims and was reported to have given his wife an explosive belt as a wedding gift. He was killed in Syria in 2015.
The concerns come as Spanish authorities investigate reports that at least a dozen previously convicted terrorists were among those who crossed into Ceuta during last week's mass border breach. Officials are also monitoring social media posts calling for another attempted crossing on August 15, while thousands of migrants remain in Ceuta following the recent influx.
This is how russian terrorists “liberate” the Kherson they claim is “russian.”
By dropping bombs on the city center.
russia is a sick, grotesque murderer — bringing nothing but death wherever it goes.
Ceuta resident shows us the streets of the city this weekend.
Filled with young invader men.
Dirty Sánchez says it's not happening.
𝕏 is the town square of truth.
Another murder of an innocent young person in Iran and another day of deafening silence by the mainstream Western media. Actually, not a complete silence -- there is the sound of outlets practically cheering Iranian success in the Trump's botched war. Don't do this. Don't let your dislike of Trump or the war blind you to the dangers and horrors of the Islamic Republic's terrorist regime.
.@YosephHaddad was ATTACKED in the MOST COWARDICE way and during a DEBATE!

Donald Trump wants 'fighting communism' to be the GOP's midterms theme.
The man is seizing the central bank, nationalizing industry, and printing money with his face on it.
I worked for him. The guy IS the communist threat.
For the first time in its history, Russia cannot wage war without reinforcements from North Korea. It is now preparing to deploy an additional North Korean contingent on its territory. It has also received additional ballistic missiles from North Korea. Everyone around the world must understand what this means.
This is not only about the lives of people in Ukraine, and not only about the threats we face. North Korea’s ballistic missiles and other weapons are being improved through its collaboration with Russia. The more North Korean strikes there are here in Ukraine, in Europe, the more their missiles and soldiers are used, the more they correct their shortcomings and blind spots, the greater the danger will later be for Japan, the Republic of Korea, the Philippines, and other countries in the region.
That is why, when we speak about the need for joint action, for coordination and mutual support, when we speak about the need to help us strengthen our air defense, we are also, in fact, speaking about taking away North Korea’s appetite and any interest in coming here – to our land and into our skies – with its weapons in order to learn how to wage war. Everyone across the globe who respects human life must stand together in taking action to protect people.
From the evening address.
Russia has bombed this school in Kramatorsk. You can see the educational books scattered everywhere. There’s literally no reason for this other than to steal the childhoods of generations. This is what they are apparently ‘liberating’
