so i've beaten the game ostensibly, but there's a treasure trove of codes and secrets left over. there's definitely a whole segment of the game left that i'm gonna have to get through to get the "true ending"

some things i've learned about magic unfolding:
1) grinding is mandatory and the game makes it more difficult than it should be
2) items to restore MP only drop rarely from certain enemies
3) this game wants to break you and i will not let it
