@RockChartrand@WorkMemesDaily ‘Wages are something businesses choose to pay for itself
Labour is something businesses choose to accept from someone else
Those two things are not connected’
@LondonNewLibs What about when an employer calls you an economist?
Better yet the king blesses you as one?
What I wouldn’t give for LondonNewLibs to tell me i’m an economist 😩
@bigpicturepol@garyseconomics@RoryStewartUK@campbellclaret Interesting. Can you tell me more about how failing means learning but failing also means not learning?
And also would love to know who these unwilling proprietors are? Are they the ones that don’t try again? The ones who don’t make profit before they die?
@Two_Pradista@pickles1892@garyseconomics@RoryStewartUK@campbellclaret It wasn’t a remark about the discipline but about your logic
If economists are a subset of mathematicians then traders are a subset of economists
You can’t just draw the line wherever suits your argument
If you understand this consistency then it’s worth aspiring to -dw if not
@Two_Pradista@pickles1892@garyseconomics@RoryStewartUK@campbellclaret Agree to disagree. Qualifications are a piece of paper - actions, contributions and your role in society is what is real.
Take any moment in history, you can classify what someone is based on their actions. No such thing as economist either. You probably mean mathematician.
@StevoJW@DeborahMeaden Unions get their funds from members - British tax payers and voters
The sum of many voters’ donations is bigger than a single voter’s
But always less than one millionaire’s weekend spend of £9,000,000
If we don’t see a jump in campaign quality, we know the money is in a policy
@PeterMcCormack Workers and consumers are your assets, take them out, your asset means nothing.
If you are still interested in holding assets without workers or consumers, happy to sell you some lmao
@jonironbeard@SaulStaniforth@ZackPolanski The only thing moving is people or money.
UK assets (workers and consumers) stay in the UK and continue to create value because that's what we do.
Not sure where all this confidence to be so wrong comes from.
@Henry4378914053@SaulStaniforth@ZackPolanski He's not. It's 1% on wealth over 10 million - like income tax brackets.
You'd think he was saying that with how these people are reacting
@Generalint81381 @SaulStaniforth@ZackPolanski 1% tax on excess over 10 million (like tax brackets)
So annually 0 million paid by someone with exactly 10 million who uses tax relief (until marginal gain > marginal cost)
@DanielPriestley@theleftbible@ZackPolanski + The UK birth and job creation rate would be greatly improved through spending / investing (see GDP equation below)
Definitely not through hoarding - I thought you were a capitalist?
Try again.
@BombadilJayJay@PeterMcCormack @BeckettUnite I would also invest in business creation channels for everyday people
My start-up works on this and I represent my views in the finance and economy Policy Working Group
Thank you for not insulting me, join the discussion:

@BombadilJayJay@PeterMcCormack @BeckettUnite If a business is running on cash injections it’s not a business.
We need to incentivise more productive investment.
A wealth tax will do that. Avoidance of wealth tax would also do that.
I would personally replace the transaction tax with it (incentivise exchanges > hoarding)
