I'm interested in AI4MATH. Previously, I held interest in algorithms, combinatorial optimization, computational geometry and problem solving in general.
@jiahuiteddy I believe a lot of people, especially strong researchers, do research for learning purposes. However, the current system incentivize compete and getting results over actual learning, so there are people do research for other reasons.
pre-training scaling laws => LLMs generalize on test data
I convinced myself that this implication can be derived without much cheating in math. I suspect this was known to many experts, but I never seen it written down explicitly.
While attending Emléktábla Workshop, I realize most people are not using AI to it's full extent. So I wrote this so mathematicians can get started quickly https://t.co/na8QuFPdIb

I did some analysis and realize if I can save like 80% of my income, it is prob better to go Roth over Traditional. Of course, the actual situation is much more complicated, since investments are different and results are different depending on how... https://t.co/un5RFIy9Gx
so I tried this app today and it is pretty amazing... since I have accounts at different places, I still want to figure out what is the composition of my investments in one place. https://t.co/Eqp68UhtX6
Could there be a near-linear time algorithm for this? (the running time should only depend on n). I would like there to be literature on it, so people can refer to it in the future. https://t.co/jnW0KcU8a8
The paper of mine and Qian Zhang was mentioned in this youtube video. The paper solves the following: Given the kin relation between you and X, can you find the shortest way of describing X, using only words from some allowed set? https://t.co/laxMxna2uC
Sometimes I need concrete bounds for the ellipsoid method. Given a separation oracle for a polytope P={x | Ax<=b}, find max_{x in P} cx, where A,b,c consists of integers with the absolute value no larger than M, and A... https://t.co/NSgGz3KXz5
