Dak has a shot to move into first place all time for the Dallas Cowboys passing yard leader
• From a backup in college who broke records after being put in
• From losing his mom and brother to cancer and suicide
• To dropping down to the 4th round and
being benched behind Romo/Moore, then unexpectedly projected into the starting lineup
• From season ending injuries and constant bashing from the fans and media
• To always standing up for what’s right, and leading the Faith, Fight, Finish Foundation
• Almost 10 years later, despite adversity and hardship, Dak has a chance to cement his families name into Dallas Cowboys history
As someone who has battled depression and attempted take to my own life, I know how dark and lonely that place can feel. Please, never be afraid to reach out for help. Your life matters more than you may ever realize.
My heart breaks for Marshawn Kneeland and his loved ones. This kind of loss is devastating beyond words. Men’s mental health is a crisis that still isn’t taken seriously enough in today’s world, and it costs far too many lives.
To anyone struggling — you are not alone. There is hope, even when it feels impossible to see it. And to anyone making fun of something like this… please look inward. Compassion costs nothing
Nebraska HC Matt Rhule took 3 minutes today to talk about mental health following the tragic death of #Cowboys DE Marshawn Kneeland:
“Our generation of kids — my kids — they all just say, ‘Yeah, I’m fine. I’m straight.’ You really gotta unearth it. … That young man scored a TD just a couple days ago, and to the outside world you’d think he’s at the pinnacle. But he was dealing with something — I don’t know what it was. But I pray for him, him and his family.”
