@KREFsports Patty is the greatest ever, but this year it feels like a Baker Mayfield led offense that’s hamstrung by very defense. Pitching is simply not up to the OU standard this year. Bats go quiet occasionally. Great pitching rarely does. Hopefully the bats stay hot all postseason.
@Sooner_Chick94 This is hilarious! I don’t pretend to know who you are, and yet instead of discussing softball, you pretend to know me. That’s ok. I’ll not lose a wink of sleep tonight worried about what a stranger thinks of my athletic career. I do want OU to continue to win natties. Period.
@Lifesmusic87@Sooner_Chick94 Bats are far more likely to be hot or cold on any given day, while great pitching is usually far more consistent. Yes, this Sooner can slug, but an off night can spell doom since we can’t shut anybody down.
@FranchiseOK That’s exactly the attitude the young man should have. For the fans, we have nothing to go on besides the product on the field. It simply hasn’t been good enough. Offensively, BVs teams had yet to score more than 27 in a conference game over two seasons. Inadequate.
@GeorgeStoia I’m more of the mind that you have to earn big games. OU is living on old prestige, and good tv ratings numbers, not actual success on the field.
@andredaughty@AverageSooner@KREFsports I have seen nothing “great” from Arbuckle. Even before the injury OU never scored more than 24 against a power 4 team. Your optimism is based on things we haven’t seen thus far.
@JacobFi49037838@ParkerThune Maybe in practice he has the physical capability to make all the throws. But through the 7 games he played in he has chronically missed open guys like he did today.
