Just announced: With potential to be the largest ever industry-academic agreement of its kind in the U.S., @EliLillyandCo plans to expand #Purdue collaboration with up to a $250 million investment to accelerate pharmaceutical innovation. https://t.co/wBLH6C6Dsq
Congratulations to Mackenzie on a defense well done! We are very proud of one of our very first T32 trainees. Onwards to more great accomplishments! @chapmackenzie @VinylBillings @sbstnknny @clintoniog24 @PurdueSCBB
It may not be my best effort but folks do like the candy. There sure are a lot of future biophysics post docs looking for a home. I tell them to go to a place that has a great T32 program! It at least means we are funded, have great labs, and are serious about training.
So glad we got a photo at our wedding with all our amazing colleagues and fellow Boilermakers that have become great friends over the years. Thankful for all their support!
Encouraging when your past undergraduate mentee sends you a photo in her first week of graduate school @uiowa. Especially when wearing a @hitchhiker2022 shirt!
Still seems like it was just last week, which means it was an awesome 2022 Hitchhiker's Symposium! Kudos to the entire organizing committee, but in particular to our Chair @chapmackenzie. The workshops led by our T32 trainers on Day 1 were an inspirational addition!
Thanks to all of my BCHM 536 students who attended ~90% of my lectures this year. It was great having you in class MWF at 9:30am for the entire semester. Thanks too for coming to my 2022 'Attendance' party at the Casa de Mesecar!
If you are going to #BPS2022, come by the BPS Education & Career Opportunities Fair to talk to our Purdue reps! Sunday, February 20, 2022, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM. Please share with all undergrads you know who love biophysics!
Needless to say, we had a BLAST at the SBBC Holiday Party! The Trees featured below include “Hockmeyer Holly”, “Christmas Eve-an”, “Chemis-tree” and “Indian Santa” @MbtpPurdue@PurdueSCBB
Great hearing @andymesecar lecture for the @PurdueAg 2021 Outstanding Grad Mentor & Teacher Award titled “For the love of enzymes and graduate students”
Please to share that our collaborative work with the Arun Ghosh Lab at Purdue on SARS-CoV-2 protease inhibitors is now out in Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and was highlighted in a cover.https://t.co/iDpGHm0VRv
Check out our new Mesecar Lab website thanks to my graduate student Mackenzie Chapman's creative work. @chapmackenzie@PurdueSCBB@PurdueBiochem

Great hearing from Dr. Metskas about carboxysomes at the Frontiers in Biophysics Seminar Series yesterday! Loved being in person again and soaking in all her advice for finding a post-doc lab! @MbtpPurdue@PurdueBiolSci@PurdueChemistry@PurdueSCBB
