He was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by @CricketShrops in 2012 as recognition to his service to cricket.

It is often considered that the club would have folded over the years had it not been for Faulky’s dedication to keep it going.

As well as the thousands of runs he scored, he was a real gentleman and was held in high regard by all who met him.

Today we heard the sad news that Iscoyd & Fenns Bank CC legend John Faulkner has passed away at the age of 88 years young. Faulky was well known in Shropshire Cricket circles for his 68 year association with IFBCC and he will be sadly missed by everyone at the club.
