@RivalsOfAether@danfornace pls let Australians game on Sydney servers again, melbourne data centre is broken and also pls stop putting me in Jakarta !!!
When the lens of the judging is so disconnected from the human element, it causes players to lose the passion that brings them back to these big events. Australia is lucky to have an amazing community to rally around injustices when they happen and make sure the passion prevails
It pains me so much to say that Calling Sydney was an ABHORRENT experience. An event intended to bring people together with the common language of great games was SPOILED by baffling, inconsiderate and mean-spirited judge calls. Disqualifications without warnings or chance for appeal, IP2s handed out like candy and many more stories which I'm sure will fill twitter over the coming days. Individuals in the community are ACTIVELY UNDERMINING THE CORE TENETS OF GAME and the reason we love it so much! With similar stories worldwide it seems like it’s becoming a REPEAT problem.
The air of the event is the later rounds was one of apathy and despair, none of the usual excitement and camaraderie for new break-out superstars and amazing games.
IN SPITE OF THIS, THE AUSTRALIAN FAB COMMUNITY ALWAYS RISE ABOVE. A massive cohort of players from across state lines, banded together to pitch in to support a TRIP TO WORLDS for a player WRONGLY DISQUALIFIED from the tournament after an incredible run. A player who shows so much integrity and passion for the game that he's touched a whole nation without even trying.
WE ARE SO BLOODY PASSIONATE ABOUT THIS GAME. We play the game, we see the world, and we make lasting friendships and experiences. That's why it hurts so much when our community is threatened. We play incredibly, we play clean, we play with a smile on our face and we respect our opponents. We spend our time lifting each other up, teaching each other to be better from our strong armory scene. We don't waste our time trying to cheat or angleshoot people, and it HURTS to be treated like we do.
I AM SO INCREDIBLY PROUD OF THE AUSTRALIAN FAB SCENE AND THEIR UNITY. I can't wait to share OUR FAB with the world in Osaka. You can't miss us, we'll be the ones having a laugh with our opponents, our friends, the judges and event staff, and absolutely LIVING AND BREATHING FLESH AND BLOOD.

Having a chalk allergy sucks cause people at the gym randomly decide they need a whole bottle to hold a set of 12kg dumbbells and wont wipe them after so it's like cool I guess my hands are now in loonie tunes ballooning injury mode
I don't think it's a coincidence that the period of "powering down" of Flesh And Blood yielded one of the best metagames we've seen (HVY). MST once again upping the powerlevel and bringing us a rock-paper-scissors format has felt like an unhealthy shift for the game.
