MrMarcoRolo no longer follows the sun around the living room. 😢 On March 26, we had to help him cross the rainbow bridge. We are heart broken 💔, miss you much.🌈💔🐾
"These subs will strengthen our defence industrial base, they'll deepen our partnerships with trusted allies & they'll open new opportunities for Canadian businesses in European supply chains," says PM Carney, announcing Germany's TKMS to build Canada's new submarines.

When I was a pup I had no idea my human was disabled. I just thought she was extra special because she rolled around everywhere instead of walking like average people.
Now I understand she has a disability. But she's still extra special to me. And together we're amazing.

The tetanus vaccine is a medical miracle. Most tetanus is among newborns and mothers due to poor hygiene. In 2018, 25,000 newborns died from it - a 97% reduction since 1988. Von Behring's work led to the 1901 Nobel Prize and the 1924 vaccine. 28 million saved from 1974-2024.
Always proud to welcome Canadians from coast to coast to Calgary. Thanks to the Canadian Chamber of Commerce for bringing leaders together during Stampede. Great to meet President and CEO Candace Laing and talk about building a stronger Canadian economy.
Canada is leading to establish the new Defence, Security and Resilience Bank.
This is a game-changing new institution that will enable countries to mobilise and deploy more private capital faster to help finance our collective defence security.
Today at the NATO Summit, eight more of our Allies and partners confirmed they will establish the Bank with us:

I met with the @SecGenNATO in Ankara. I thank Mark Rutte for his personal support and for helping Ukraine and our people.
I briefed Mark on the consequences of Russia's attacks on Ukrainian cities and communities. We discussed the protection of our people from Russian ballistic threats and the need for urgent deliveries of missiles for air defense systems. A separate part of our discussion focused on additional contributions from Allied countries to the PURL initiative and efforts to establish an Anti-Ballistic Coalition. We also covered joint weapons production, as well as strengthening defense cooperation between Ukraine and NATO countries. Right now, it is critically important that every channel supporting our air defense – both bilateral and multilateral – operate at full capacity.
Mark commended the achievements of our warriors on the front line, who continue to inflict heavy losses on Russia, as well as the results of our long-range responses. We agreed to work swiftly together to implement everything we discussed during the meeting.
When @CJPME published a report in May detailing the Israeli government's secret and illicit activities to influence Canadian public affairs (a.k.a. foreign interference), it got zero media coverage here.
So I looked into it for @TheGrindTO... 🧵https://t.co/4JHleAgDZX

During our meeting in Ankara, Prime Minister @KristenMichalPM of Estonia and I signed a defense cooperation agreement under the Drone Deal framework. This agreement is not only a way to accelerate cooperation between our countries. It is also a step forward and a sign of trust, as we are signing such an agreement with a very close friend, which means a lot. We will be developing joint defense production in both our countries, including key capabilities for protecting the skies.
I also briefed the Prime Minister on our diplomatic efforts. We discussed support for Ukraine on our path to the European Union, including opening the remaining five negotiation clusters. I thanked Estonia for its strong position and support on this matter. We are always grateful to Estonia for its assistance – both military and humanitarian – as well as for the steps aimed at ensuring continued support for Ukraine on our path to the EU and NATO.

I had a very good meeting with @alexstubb. As always, many details and our coordination. Naturally, we discussed the need for air defense and ways to meet it. I thanked Finland for all its support, and we discussed the joint steps we can take in the near future to strengthen our position – both in diplomacy and in defense. In particular, we discussed preparations for a Drone Deal agreement and possible dates for its signing.
Alex shared details of his communication with representatives of other countries that could be important for bringing the war to an end. We agreed to keep coordinating to achieve the results our countries and Europe truly need. Thank you!
