Actually, different salaries should only affect how luxurious your life is, not your food quality or ability to afford rent. If you work 40 hours at any job, your income should be enough to live in the town you work in. Thinking otherwise is an abysmal indicator of your humanity

Why are people so miserable? I'm an introvert but if someone wants to celebrate their birthday let them. 30th feels like a big milestone to many. Also, you can just say no as an adult.

My friend wants to plan a couples, no-kids weekend getaway, splitting the cost of a large AirBNB, in January for her 30th birthday. I really do not love this idea (husband is mortified), neither to spend the money nor to get someone to take the toddler for 3 days. It would be a 2.5 hour drive away for us, too, so it’s not like we’re close if something happens. I haven’t been away from him for even 1 night yet and he still just seems so young! It would be very hard to leave him for that long.

Am I just a party pooper who needs to get over it? Genuine question. Like I actually need advice here guys

Ordered our pet medication from an online pharmacy for the first time. Even with paying £21 for our prescription from the vet we still saved £50. So annoying how much they over charge 😬

@Bjoern_Hev Just looked it up and apparently both UK and Germany have a very high percentage of UPF purchases (we're the worst in Europe though). I think you have more choice in where to shop, as we have massive supermarket chains that dominate.

@Bjoern_Hev Yeah we have good food regulations but diverge slightly from Europe I think. I don't think those foods are banned in Germany, just stocked more over here because people buy them.

@joukesp @CarlBovisNature Dunnocks are a bit like wrens where they're very common but not so easy to spot because they are ground feeders and hide in bushes, etc. Mine come to the feeders in winter. I thought that they were house sparrows at first.

@DoYaKnowWilma We usually get airbnb apartments for longer trips because we like to have a kitchen to be able to make food & drinks for ourselves. Lots of hotels don't even have fridges which sucks when you need non dairy milk.
