Unpopular opinion here, but the protests need to be shut down, peaceful or not. They are all turning violent and people are getting hurt. No city should have to surround their monuments to protect them, no police officer should go to work scared. people need to go home.

First time I’ve ever been ashamed to be british and quite frankly I’m embarrassed to be from Newcastle right now. The lack of respect for the police is diabolical, these are hard working people just doing their jobs. This is a direct result of the protesting getting out of hand.

Not enough appreciation is given to our lads who work outside. Freezing, raining or boiling hot they are out there every day doing manual labour, so the majority of us girls can be looked after and have it easy.

I want to highlight that in this awful time, there are going to be men, women and children locked in a home with domestic violence/child abuse. 2 women die every week in the uk from domestic violence. Be vigilant. I’ve attached numbers for victims and people wanting to report.
