Let women be.
Let women lead.
Let women thrive.
Let women speak up.
Let women represent.
Let women live peacefully.
Let women express themselves.
Let women control their bodies.
Let women live.
For a long time, women were not allowed to vote because politics was considered a man's domain. When women began asking for equal rights in the late 19th and early 20th centuries many of them were laughed at, attacked, arrested, and even sent to prison simply for demanding a voice. Despite this, women did not give up.
Suffragettes in many countries organised protests, went on hunger strikes, and risked their freedom to fight for equality: Their determination eventually helped women gain the right to vote in the United Kingdom in 1918.
Today every vote cast by a woman reminds us that this right was not easily given. It was achieved through courage persistence, and the struggle of many women who refused to remain silent.
I'm not going to tell anyone who to vote for but I will encourage everyone to get out and vote.
Too many people complain about the state of the country while never actually taking part in the process. If you want change in your community you have to go out and vote for it.
This evening, The King and Queen attended a special viewing of ‘Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style’, ahead of what would have been The late Queen’s 100th birthday.
As the largest exhibition of Her Majesty’s fashion ever staged, more than 200 items of clothing and accessories across all ten decades of The late Queen’s life are on display.
The exhibition also includes never-before-seen archival material such as fashion sketches, fabric samples, and correspondence.
‘Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style’ is available to visit now and will run until 18th October 2026 at The King’s Gallery in London. Find out more on @RCT.
Surely if net zero was all about saving the planet we would stop importing fruit, veg & meat & stock & buy seasonal home grown only.
Unless net zero isn’t really about saving the planet 🤔
I just realized Beyoncé went, gave the Grammys their best performance ever to set the standard and never performed again. It has been almost 10 years, it remains untouched
