For Ismailis, the Imam's presence in the Jamat's daily life and on the Day of Judgment is rooted in the Qur'anic concept of divinely appointed guidance: Allah appoints the Imam (2:124), Imams guide by His command (21:73; 32:24), and every people is called with its Imam (17:71).

Ismailis are confident in their faith and have no need to attack other traditions. Respect their boundaries, and they will respect yours. Crossing that line only invites a response you may not expect.

This is not the entire humanity with one Imam.

Don’t replace a Qur’anic discussion with sarcasm about phone calls and personal access. We were discussing the apple; you keep bringing the banana.
