Richard Okorogheye, 19, has been missing from his home in Ladborke Grove since Monday, March 22. He told his mum he was "struggling to cope" with the pressure of university and shielding during lockdown. Any information, contact 101 and quote 21MIS008134 https://t.co/IyvjNMLG8o
Sarah Everard did everything right. Everything women are 'supposed' to. Bright clothing. Main road. Called her man. Every woman I know in Clapham doesn't feel safe at night. Not to walk home from work, to exercise, to walk to the shop. I wish more men understood this feeling.
What happened to Sarah Everard has hit home hard for so many women because we make the calculations she did every day too. We take the longer, better-lit route, push the fear aside for the voice that says ‘don't be daft, you've every right to walk home alone at night and be safe’
If you haven’t...
- text a mate ‘I’m home’
- crossed a road to avoid someone
- called & said ‘chat to me for 5’
- noted a cab/car reg
- got your keys out in prep
- locked your car door immediately
- held your breath until you’re past someone
...then you’re a man #SarahEverard
Huge shout out to the students who attend every live lesson, submit every assignment, answer when put on the spot and say a quiet but very welcome “thank you” at the end of a lesson. 👏🏻
