Happy National Athletic Training Month๐๐
Athletic training is more than being on the sidelines, handing out water, or taping ankles. Itโs about the relationships, the connections, being there through the highs of winning a championship to the lows of suffering an injury.
๐๐๐
Today is World Mental Health Day. Take time for yourself, stop and smell the flowers, enjoy the view but above all donโt hesitate to reach out to someone if you need help.
Taking care of your mental health is just as important as your physical health.
๐๐๐
The WSP is holding a statewide emphasis on Sept. 27 in honor of fallen Trooper Christopher Gadd #927, who was killed after being struck by an impaired driver on March 2, 2024.
Before the incident, he messaged his detachment that he would meet up with them after "One More Stop."
3 years agoโOne of the hardest days of my athletic training career.
Waiting in a hospital room with an athlete as he wondered about his friend. I sat with him until his parents could get there to break the news that his friend had passed away. ๐
Remember life is precious ๐
This is the future of athletic training.
Some have already passed their BOC, some taking it soon, and others have another year to go.
Collectively they are our futureโฆ.and what a future it is.
