In April 2000, under President Clinton, federal agents conducted a pre-dawn raid on a Miami home to seize six-year-old EliĂĄn GonzĂĄlez and return him to his father in Castro's Cubaâenforcing immigration law in the name of family reunification and diplomatic relations.
In November 2014, President Obama stated clearly in a national address: undocumented immigrants "broke our immigration laws, and I believe that they must be held accountableâespecially those who may be dangerous."
In June 2009, Senator Chuck Schumer declared: "People who enter the United States without our permission are illegal aliens, and illegal aliens should not be treated the same as people who enter the U.S. legally."
Back then, enforcing immigration laws wasn't seen as controversial. It was simply expected.
The laws themselves haven't changed.
The border challenges haven't fundamentally changed.
What changed was the languageâand with it, the narrative.
"Illegal alien" became "undocumented worker" or "undocumented immigrant."
Enforcing the law became "cruelty" or "family separation."
Defending national sovereignty became "xenophobia" or "hate."
Same statutes.
Same executive authority.
Just different words, and a dramatically different story.
In attempting to Make New York Affordable Again, @ZohranKMamdani is up against an immense force, bigger than charisma or cunning: the marketplace. Read more from @nicolegelinas:
Tough night for GOP in Virginia and New Jersey.
But srsly, did any of you think there was a chance to win either?
First of all Trump lost both in 2024. Did you REALLY think that would change in a span of 12 months?
New Jersey in the north is populated by the same people who are about to elect a jihadist commie in NYC and in the south the same people who elected a sub-90 IQ commie as mayor of Philly.
Virginia is completely controlled by the bazillion federal government workers who live in Northern Virginia and are totally PO'd that Trump is demolishing the pig trough they all wallow in.
The reason I have not commented on any of this at all before now was because to me tonight's results were inevitable and say absolutely nothing about 2026 or 2028.
In the days and weeks ahead you will see and hear eGOP scrubs who want MAGA out of their party saying that tonight was a rejection of MAGA. Don't fall for their propaganda--it's all selfish nonsense trying to take us back to the days of losing gracefully with Mittens Romney.
None of what these eGOP "pundits" will say about tonight is true. Tonight was simply a repeat of 2024, and nothing more.
So everybody please calm down.
On to 2026, where we DO need our focus.
Chairman @RepJamesComer: "There's no documentation that would suggest Joe Biden was involved in the pardon process."
Anyone who reads our report and watches the hours of interviews would conclude that Biden wasn't the one making those decisions.
This was a cover operation.
BREAKING: A full-blown war is currently ongoing between Brazilian authorities and drug cartels in Rio de Janeiro.
El Salvador created the blueprint, and it looks like Brazil is following it.
Authorities surprised cartel members early in the morning with 2,500 security personnel, making it the largest ever raid in the city. They made a lot of arrests, and the cartel retaliated. Dozens of illegal firearms were confiscated. The situation is still developing, according to Rio Governor Claudio Castro. The death toll is 64 and counting.
The sooner these drug lords are eliminated from the Americas, the better.
Gavin Newsom: I canât tell you how much of a fan my son is of Charlie Kirk.
Also Gavin Newsom: He wasnât a fan of him, as much as he was familiar with him.
#FIRSTONFOX: Federal officials tell me the 12-year-old girl at the center of one of the most disturbing abuse case Iâve seen out of Texas, is an unaccompanied minor who crossed the border at just 1 years old under the Obama Administration. According to detectives, the 12-year-old girlâs mother was living in Honduras, while the young girl was living with a distant uncle who sexually abused her in Houston. She was then taken in by two sisters who knew the uncle and the abuse continued. According to affidavits, the 12-year-old escaped from restraints in the home she was being abused and held captive in. Detectives say she was found with injuries all over her body, extreme malnutrition, had an infected gash on her head, and a zip tie on her wrist. The girl told detectives the sisters- Brenda and Tania Garcia beat her, starved her, and restrained her. According to court docs, she was bound with zip ties and at times, tied to a chair for âstealing food.â The girl told detectives she was hit by cables and a belt with a spike on it until she bled. She had her mattress taken away, and only allowed to sleep on a table cloth on the floor while she was restrained, according to the docs. The sistersâ charges include felony injury to a child, unlawful restraint and invasive visual recording. Sources say this is an example of why the Trump administration is prioritizing the need to vet sponsors properly and find unaccompanied children who have been lost in the system.
Some serve a lifetime in public office and never experience a day like today.
In time history will detail the full story of how today was made possible.
But for now all Americans should at least know this, that today would not have happened without @potus doing some pretty extraordinary things.
Chris Cuomo couldnât hide itâhe began his segment with a round of applause for President Trump and his peace deal.
âFirst, the easy part.â [Begins clapping]
âI didnât think it was going to happen. Bravo to America. Bravo the Trump administration. Bravo to President Trump.â
But Cuomo took it one step further, torching the left for REFUSING to give Trump credit where itâs due.
âWhy is that hard to say?â
âBecause in our politics you CANNOT recognize the other side. It is like saying Hitler has a nice haircut.â
âYou canât do it and thatâs why weâre dying. That is the poison.â
âNot here. Not NewsNation. Here, we do not take a side. I attack the idea of sides.â
Tonight as President Trump is on his way to Israel to end the conflict I am thinking of the Bibas family who havenât left my thoughts for two years.
Two beautiful young children and protective mother who died at the hands of Hamas.
May God bless and protect President Trump and his team who are saving lives, returning the hostages and bringing peace to the region.
