addressing politics, social issues, and personal stories, VISA successfully makes a statement while standing on its own musical merits. #VISA by SB19 deserves that Grammy nomination
remind ko lang pala ang mga tao na this man did not finish high school and worked hard to finish ALS instead since yun lang ang kaya ng powers niya that time.
life was not good to hime until SB19 happened. and he has never taken it for granted.
WHY 'VISA' of SB19 Should Be Considered for a Grammy
The song "VISA" is a modern revolutionary outcry about the struggles faced by Filipino creatives as they reach for their dreams and aspirations of global domination. It boldly calls out a flawed system that refuses to give chances, even when you are talented enough to raise your flag for your country and for the world to see.
Beneath its serious undertone, it deploys a hyperactive and dance-inducing sound, highlighting how Filipino resilience is often accepted as "strength" rather than as a call for help and urgency.
This song also made its mark as the face of change—serving as the main catalyst for SB19 to draft and co-create a Senate bill to establish the Philippine Agency for the Creative Economy (PACE) Act, which helps Filipino creatives and artists represent the Philippines on the global stage with government support.
NEED THIS IN MY MEDIA.
“They actually did the research they presented. WE ARE USING THEIR RESEARCH.
Our office na puro mga nerd na mga yon, nung nakita nila yung research ni Josh at ng SB19 sobra silang nagulat. Ang ganda ng research na to” Sen. Bam Aquino
Forever amazed by your brain @JoshCullen_s
You are s living testimony ng “if there’s a will, there’s a way”.
Hindi mo hinayaan maging hindrance lahat ng pagsubok na pinagdaanan mo nung bata ka. This is not just about being resilient anymore. You don’t just sit and wait for the perfect opportunity to come, you make that opportunity happen and you don’t waste it.
So proud of you!
What a way to start your birth month❤️🔥
“[SB19] leading the way not just for themselves but for the industry” - Sen. Bam Aquino
Sen. Bam Aquino shared how the PACE ACT was created and started when SB19’s Pablo and Josh requested to meet with him for a coffee.
During the meeting, Josh prepared a presentation for their idea of a possible legislation that will help artists who go abroad.
