Charging Tips for Owners of LFP Cars 🔋

🏠 HOME
⚙️ LFP cars need regular 100% charge to balance the cells which helps BMS calculate SoC correctly.

⚡At home, charge your vehicle to 100% everytime. Don't bother about limiting for home. 80% rule is NOT for you (that's NMC only).

🔌 When at home let the car stay connected after 100%, there's no need of disconnecting as soon as car hits 100%.

📈 Every couple of month or so try to do a full cycle (from low single digit SoC to 100%)

🛣️ HIGHWAYS/TRIPS
🚗 Public DC chargers are meant for quickest way to top up on a highway journey. It is not ALWAYS necessary to wait 100% unless the next destination requires it. Charge what you need & move on.

⚡ On long trips with repeated DC fast charging and no full AC charge in between, an occasional full 100% charge is perfectly fine; say every 3rd, 4th or 5th stop

🔔 If your car notifies you to do 100% charge, do it!
