@LuxHippie I have deep friendships with people who I talk to sometimes just twice a year. but when we catch up, we pick up exactly where we left off. people need to be more realistic about adult friendships
btw this happened in my hometown at my high school (well i was in 8th grade at the time) and im 26 now and this poor family STILL doesn’t have answers. his poor mama has been fighting every single day for justice to no prevail :(
🚨 DAMN.
Ruby Bridges said the moment she finally understood what was happening during school integration was when a little white boy told her:
“My mom said I can’t play with you because you’re a nigger.”
She was SIX.
And she said hearing that felt like “a huge weight lifted,” because suddenly everything made sense.
Why the classrooms were empty.
Why adults were screaming.
Why U.S. Marshals had to escort her to school.
Not because of anything she did.
Just because of the color of her skin.
A six-year-old child realizing an entire country was angry at her for existing.
How do I mute racism???? Its mentally draining reading abt racism everywhere you go and extremely mentally taxing trying had to not reply to every ignorant bigot ..
As a kid who grew up on food stamps and free lunch programs, gotta say: some of you are sociopaths for believing kids from poor families shouldn't have access to nice experiences. It's bizarre. Do you'll actually listen when you attend church or just pretend to care about Christ?
Chud the Builder is a good example of why I say a lot of white men have a weird obsession with Black Men.
He’s spending his time and energy trying to get reactions out of Black American Men.
He probably fantasizes about Black Men too.
I don't buy that the hate against Black people is only about their skin color. There has to be something bigger behind it because no society would set up all its power, laws, and culture just to hold people down over a simple difference in skin shade
@IamJustNneka@Raindropsmedia1 also in this instance 12 is still a child not a teen, the discouraging should have been before getting to this point. pregnancy is high risk and hormonal enough there’s no need to shame and antagonize the entire pregnancy.
12 years and they still aren’t done with the pipes, cancer rates are through the roof, the kids haven’t seen a dime of the settlement money, and not a single person has been held accountable. Flint ain’t fixed!!!!
