I used to think Iโm cringe and feel very ashamed for making kpop fan art instead of doing more โseriousโ work, and Iโm afraid of posting my kpop fan art because I donโt want to โlook cringeโ
but if drawing what I like also improves my skills, why not?
@seethequeenx I find taking breaks very important and I spend some time reading, going out for a walk, watching movies, doing art studies etc. between works because it gives me new insights which I can incorporate in my next work
one day i just stopped being afraid of making bad art
I think making bad art is simply just discovering what doesnโt work, which is as important as discovering what works
And I find joy in every learning opportunity
cuz every time Iโm trying to impress other people, I ended up making artistic choices that looks fancy but doesnโt align with the message Iโm trying to communicate
this way Iโm able to let loose and just experiment and explore new things with my art, instead of trying to impress other people. I think I do the best when I really have something to say instead of wanting to โshow offโ my skills.
though,
I think itโs better to just forget about all my previous โsuccessโ and start every single artwork as if I have zero audience and presenting myself to the world as a completely unknown and new person
