The DTV is probably the best program in the world for digital nomads...

- Apply and be accepted in days fully online
- Very low cost but high quality of living (though rent has ballooned)
- Easily top 5 cuisines in the world
- Pay taxes only on what you bring in (unless you get double fisted by your own govt)
- Crypto capital gains free
- Top healthcare and dental for a fraction of the cost of the west (and walkin appointments available everywhere anytime)
- Travel to other countries in SE Asia for cheap as chips (multiple low cost airlines that make Ryanair look like a cattle farm)
- Nicest, friendliest and most respectful people in the world (if you are back)
- Most Thais have basic English, and it's being taught in schools as a primary subject
- Super easy to buy a condo/apartment, and starting from $35k for a decent 1 bed
- CoWorking spots and fantastic cafes everywhere
- Networking, meetups and conferences for tech & entrepneurs weekly in BKK, CM, Phuket, Samui, Koh Phangan etc

I've lived here for nearly 10 years...

I'm 30, I've been to nearly 60 countries in my time and there are very few places I would live long term.
