@jkimballcook That is an interesting way to look at it. I think of it this way: Putting aside who is ultimately right, Christianity grows out of Judaism but adds a prophet and a book. LDS grows out of Christianity but adds a prophet and a book.

@Liturgy @RachThePenitent @Waterstones I just checked on reading level. NRSVue is at an 11th grade reading level. The CEB was targeted at 8th grade reading level. At least in the US--that hits squarely at the average person. In writing for the church, I try as hard as I am able to write at an 8th grade level.
