@RyanSAdams Others have pointed this out, but some of the backlash comes from the mismatch between the airdrop and restaking rules -- definitely could’ve been handled better by the team. Plus, the recent rise in geo-blocking just doesn't align with the spirit of crypto.

@recmo KYC is there to prevent, identity theft, money laundering, and fraud. In web3, you can't easily commit identity theft or fraud unless you have the private key. That leaves money laundering so proof-I'm-not-a-sanctioned-individual does seem sufficient.
