Charles Montes

Reformed Catholic, Husband, Father, Poet. “arte et marte”

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@MiddleEarthPaul Wrong, and not to mention historically negligent. It has about the same amount of favoritism as “honor your father and mother.”

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@themendelbrain Correction: *Old Heresy:

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@elimcgowan We agree on 2 btw. However, it being a Christian nation doesn’t negate the derivative and separate authority the state has (Rom. 13) to govern in a way that it decides is best for its citizens.

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@elimcgowan 1. But you have no issue with “Poland being for the Polish” as its parliamentarians espouse, right?
2. Also, the Church is diverse inherently whether a nation is or not. Homogeneity isn’t a sin, but quite natural actually. Almost creational, if one considers it long enough.

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@liam_out_loud Our nearest threat is our complacency, not the “mob.” Even that is being gradually overcome.

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@kindaifffyyy Just random bags of biological stardust in the “pitiless indifference” arbitrarily sounding into the void, “But it’s because everything’s meaningless that’s make everything so meaningful.” The chemistry doesn’t hear itself say dumb things.

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@Atomsmade Just random bags of biological stardust in the “pitiless indifference” arbitrarily sounding into the void, “But it’s because everything’s meaningless that’s make everything so meaningful.”

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@Atomsmade An atheist inherited and assumes Western Christian values without any warrant for them. They can provide no meaningful grounding for all the moral outrage they’ve borrowed from Christianity, and can only conclude “Today, we collectively just feel like it’s wrong.”

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@kindaifffyyy Marked. Will be back for an update.

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@Thatbrian “Can’t wait to get on X and just chill,” said no one ever.

But you’re right, lol.

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@LordAratonar @kindaifffyyy @catholicdads_ To clarify, is his error saying she expressed vainglory at all?

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@LordAratonar @kindaifffyyy @catholicdads_ If he’s said it was merely a flaw and not sin, then what was there rip him over?

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@Dankrightanon @paleochristcon Don’t back track. It is a dumb statement. And don’t apologize either. It’s an overstatement that ignores the genres of Scripture. Psalms: meant to be sung by everyone (ergo “designed for laymen”). Epistles: for the congregation (including laymen). Deut: Laws for laymen etc.

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@stoneoreye Reality: You’re not “different.” The grass is dead. Young dudes are bummed & sorting it out at the gym or at home.
I feel bad for this generation. They were culturally invaded. Now they’re surprised the thug culture & hedonism they were raised on hasn’t produced “good” men/women.

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@AngAesthetics ^That is, in the era of councils and correctives.

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@AngAesthetics Blowing by Augustine is wild. Also strange that if infant baptism was this innovation (that they so strongly wish it to be) that there is zero controversy/contestation; no counter canons or epistles or regional councils correcting it. Rather we have assumed efficacy & inclusion.

[Charles Montes @CharlesTheLessr]

@DissidentWire Bro needs to read Joseph Pieper. Tell me you don’t *scholé without telling me you don’t scholé.

Honestly, we’d be just fine with 8 months and a thicker WBS. 😎 🇺🇸 💪🏻

Like, let’s bring back going to conquest with the boys in the springtime. We can call it an “elective.”
