This Nelson series is a MUST. In this episode, 25 mins and already- a reference to Alan Partridge, a dig at the rest is politics and a well due mention of 'law and order enthusiast' Edgar the Peaceable! Tremendous stuff fellas @holland_tom@dcsandbrook

@mr_james_c@aswren Medieval courts actually used to travel the kingdom, funnily enough. But similar themes persist over time. A book by Walter Map - a 12th century courtier - talks a bit about court life at the time, really interesting read
@CatImperator Not a fan. If he had sense he'd have known a pitched battle was the only way he could lose. He got suckered into doing exactly what William wanted
@MJG_Write@ChrisWritesGG I looked it up and also downvoted their review. Despite your many excellent reviews this person thinks it's AI because of em dashes?? What nonsense. If em dashes were good enough for Jane Austen they're good enough for me!
@MadcapCreations I'm always honored when that random guy at the gym, or my colleague's friend's latest partner bestows their knowledge unto me about the literary arts and market trends.
@TheaLanden I do all my writing and formatting in MS Word. Tried out other software and it really wasn't for me at all. Word did everything I needed once I'd learned how.
@tancredipalmeri God forbid we allow any stadiums that have character. What will replace the San Siro? I'd wager the words 'generic', 'soulless', and 'countless billions' would feature in the answer
@Gabino_Iglesias It's not that hard to write a book. If someone genuinely wants to do it, they'll do it. It took me ages to finish mine, so I'd love to talk up the difficulty, but no. It's no Odyssey to write 80,000 words about something you're interested in.
