🇬🇧 So Keir Starmer is gone. Under pressure for weeks, he finally accepted what his own party had already decided for him.

It is worth remembering how we got here, and the single most embarrassing thing I have watched in my entire life.
Back in February 2025, Starmer flew to Washington and hand-delivered a letter from King Charles. An invitation for an unprecedented second state visit. No leader had ever been offered two. Starmer put a hand on Trump’s shoulder and said it symbolised the strength of the relationship between them.

It symbolised nothing of the sort. It was a bribe dressed up as a courtesy.

The visit came in September. Windsor Castle, a royal carriage, a banquet for 160, fighter jets overhead, the largest ceremonial welcome in living memory. Trump got the full fairy tale. He was treated as royalty in a country that is not his own, by a prime minister who believed flattery would buy him goodwill.

It bought nothing. Trump took the pomp, pocketed the prestige, and went straight back to undermining Starmer and Britain whenever it suited him. You do not earn the respect of a man like that by kneeling. You only show him that kneeling is on offer.

That was the wager. Dignity traded for access, and Starmer got neither. The crown was loaned out, the cameras rolled, and the only winner flew home on Air Force One.

Britain deserved better than a leader who thought the answer to American contempt was a longer red carpet.
And now he resigns. Trump, with his usual arrogance, announced over the weekend that it would happen, days before Starmer said a word. How he knew, I have no idea. Nor does it much matter. They have the place bugged, presumably.

When Mark Carney was elected, some of the first moves he made was to implement policy that the right had been asking for.

So much so, he was accused of "stealing Poilievre's platform..."

However, instead of understanding his goal of helping unite aspects of the divide, they double down.

Mock him, his wife, his kids, post false accusations and ridiculous comments.

Spam about Brookfield and elbows, for an entire year. A year... Still talking about elbows?

Cheering on a foreign leader who threatens us. Hoping for failure and pain to use as leverage for tweets...

Weaponization of those that are actually struggling. Talking about food bank usage like they care about those people at all. The people the mock when a Conservative government is in charge.

Mark Carney is not perfect and you can criticize him all you'd like...

But it's crystal clear that this is pure tribalism and partisanship. It's not about policy nor Canada. It's about winning.

The only thing that would ever make them happy is a Conservative leader. A blue PM... Even if they get policy they like, they're against it because of the name signed at the bottom.

There are some that literally want Canada to fail to use that against the government.

Jeff Landry is the Governor of Louisiana. A state that ranks 49th in education, 50th in infrastructure, and somewhere near the bottom in virtually every measurable indicator of human civilisation. A state where the roads dissolve in the rain, the levees dissolve in a hurricane, and the school curriculum dissolves somewhere around the 8th grade.

This man has looked out across the smoking wreckage of his own jurisdiction, said “not my problem,” and decided the real issue is that Greenland isn’t American yet.

“Happy National Day to all the people across the incredible island of Greenland.” Lovely. Warm, even. The kind of sentiment you’d write in a card, right before you slide in a property acquisition offer.

Note the construction: celebrate your rich culture, your traditions, your heritage. Magnificent stuff. Now hand it over.

The Greenlandic people, who have lived on that landmass for four thousand years, who survived Arctic winters that would kill a Louisiana man before he’d finished explaining what a crawfish boil is, are apparently sitting by their computers this morning waiting to hear that Jeff Landry thinks they’d make a nice addition to a country that can’t fix its own potholes.

They have already told Washington no. They have told every think tank, hawk, and Truth Social enthusiast no. And since the English clearly isn’t getting through, they are now trying German: Nein. Danke. A language MAGA America will at least recognise from the films where they were also told to go home.

When the illusion finally shatters, what remains isn't disappointment,it's humiliation.

The man you poured your faith into was never a visionary, never a savior, never even remotely exceptional.
He was a hollow fraud wrapped in ego, fueled by noise, and sustained by endless self-promotion.

Every boast, every grand promise, every display of swagger crumbles the instant reality enters the room.
What looked like confidence was arrogance.
What looked like strength was insecurity.
What looked like leadership was little more than a carefully marketed illusion.

Scratch beneath the surface and there's no hidden brilliance, no master strategist, no misunderstood genius. Just an impulsive, self-absorbed figure stumbling from one failure to the next, desperately trying to drown incompetence in a torrent of bluster and spectacle.

In the end, the strongman image collapses into exactly what it always was: cheap theater.
A gaudy performance.
A caricature masquerading as leadership.
A salesman peddling an image he could never live up to.

And the hardest part isn't watching the act fall apart.
It's realizing how long you applauded it, defended it, and mistook obvious bullshit for substance.....

Canadian media is not what most think.

Canadians are lobsters in a propaganda pot. CBC, for all its faults is the only independent and truly Canadian media.

Canadian media is influenced by 5 billionaire families and a US (Trump MAGA) hedge fund. Billionaires being Rogers, Shaw, Thomson, Bitove and Peladeau who respectively own / control / influence:

These interests plus US hedge fund Chatham Asset Management collectively own 85% of Canadian media, including TV and Radio stations of any significance. PostMedia alone is a big part of that.

Chatham controls PostMedia through a special two thirds ownership structure. Chatham also owns US media AMI / National Enquirer. The link from Chatham to Trump indirectly is David Pecker at AMI.

So it’s a Trump MAGA aligned, CPC propaganda operation ever since Harper approved this years ago. Pecker used to be on the PostMedia board and is Trump’s media man.

PostMedia is playing a big role in Trump’s 51st play. Which seems to be Harper’s Christian (Church) Reform Party’s end game. Yes that would be the so called CPC.

Yet, even worse, algorithm driven social media are viral distributors of the “Canadian” and foreign media too! They’re owned by mega billionaires, including Zuckerberg and Musk, with combined wealth measured now in trillions.

So media generated content is then filtered and run via social media algorithms geared to foreign influence, their own special interests and clickbait profits.

These players are likely first order CPC “owners”, funders and disinformation operatives, beyond their controlling interests in our media.

Let's take a look at the "Week in Review:"

This week, Pierre Poilievre stated “no more theatre” on multiple occasions. At the same time, Conservative MPs presented a cake in the House of Commons marking Prime Minister Mark Carney’s 100th missed Question Period, while Carney was attending the G7 Summit representing Canada.

RW Twitter criticized former PM Trudeau for not attending a soccer event. Then, they criticized PM Carney after he attended and addressed the Canadian men’s soccer team following their win. Poilievre? Nowhere to be found.

Criticism circulated over a ceremonial tree planting by Carney in Ireland, with claims the sapling remained in its container, meanwhile, images proved this to be a lie.

Right-wing influencers widely shared clips from a recent UFC event featuring the Canadian anthem being piped during a fighter’s entrance, posting it as Americans signing, and being "better than Canadians" etc... It was a taped recording. They louded boo'ed the Canadian fighter after.

Canada has some real challenges, and there are adult conversations to be had...

Unfortunately, the RW Influencers are making that nearly impossible with their misinformation, lies, and bullshit.

Trump’s DOJ just shut down a federal investigation into a coal company owned by Sen. Jim Justice, one of his closest allies, after it racked up tens of thousands of alleged violations for dumping dangerous chemicals into our waterways. A veteran federal prosecutor with 24 years on the job said he had never seen anything like it.  

The man who killed the case was Todd Blanche, Trump’s former personal defense lawyer and current Acting Attorney General. This is the same guy who just gave Trump, his family, and his companies permanent immunity from IRS audits. Now Trump wants the Senate to make Blanche’s appointment permanent too.  

Equal justice under law was never supposed to come with exceptions for the President’s friends.  

The pattern isn’t subtle: protect Trump’s friends, prosecute his critics, and get rewarded with more power. That is corruption, plain and simple. Todd Blanche must not be confirmed.

BREAKING: The MAGA bozo responsible for Trump's disastrous Reflecting Pool "renovations" is exposed — and his company is literally named "Greenwater Services."

Meet John Cafaro.

Despite looking like a 1950s cartoon mobster, this is a real, flesh-and-blood human being from Trump's inner circle. He's also a convicted felon who previously pleaded guilty to bribing a member of Congress.

Cafaro received a $1.7 million no-bid contract to install a water-purification system in the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool. Normally, the National Park Service would have a robust open bidding process to find the most reasonably priced, most competent contractor. Instead, the job was entrusted into Cafaro's sweaty mitts without much scrutiny.

The details of that contract are murky, like everything else involving this administration, so it's safe to presume that there was a healthy dose of corruption and graft involved. It's no coincidence that Cafaro just happens to be a big Trump donor and a Mar-a-Lago neighbor. He's given at least $300,000 to PACs tied to the President.

Like everyone else in Trump's circle, Cafaro has proven to be exceptionally incompetent. The Reflecting Pool is now a cesspit of algae and looks greener than ever before. Another company unrelated to Cafaro received the $14.7 million no-bid contract to install blue waterproofing material in the pool. That firm likewise did an incredibly poor job, as chunks of the material are now peeling away and floating to the surface.

This is how things work in third world dictatorships. Cronies and political allies are awarded contracts to reward them for their loyalty to the regime and there's no expectation that they'll ever fulfill the work to proper specifications.

The administration, rather than admit their failure, has taken to posting fake pictures on social media while insisting that the water is crystal clear.

We have eyes. We can see how bad it's gotten.
