@btminster@Nadineamber1 This was in response to people dividing the total among the entire population, when that isn't accurate.
I'd expect them to include the poor, exclude the rich, and factor in an adjustment for dependents.
$6 trillion dollars divided among all taxpayers would be about $48,000. That is real stimulus money. We'll see a tiny fraction as our representatives chip away at it with greed. Sad. #CoronavirusUSA
Trump calling #COVID19 a "Chinese Virus" is not okay and totally racist, but China's leaders actively blaming the U.S. now for the #coronavirus is even worse. This propaganda IS a Chinese virus that will sow hate for generations. Stop it, both of you!!
@zlj517 The United States certainly botched our response, but the idea that it began here is ridiculous. Trump is being racist calling Covid-19 a "Chinese Virus", but this new propaganda could be called that.
@DrTedros The numbers out of Europe expose the Chinese cases/deaths as highly under reported. They now toss out low numbers, claim these new cases as incoming foreigners to sow distrust, and spread propaganda that the virus began in the US. It's irresponsible to praise them.
@kasie@SenatorRomney Rather than dump 1.3 trillion into banks and billionaire bailouts, just divide that equally among all taxpayers. Should be over $10,000. Way more of a boost on the economy and life.
@ellybratton It is more virulent because it is as infectious as the flu, but we have less immunity and no vaccines. So it spreads easily. It is then more likely to cause pneumonia, and the mortality rate is 20 to 60 times that of flu.
@htiguy Putting the rim of something someone put their hands and/or mouth on against metal that will have another person's cup against it moments later.
@DrDenaGrayson@CDCgov Did the math for a group of friends who kept minimizing it a week ago. I came up with at least 2.5 million in the USA and 65 million worldwide. Those are the moderate case scenario numbers at 40% infection and 2% mortality. Probably worse.
@DavidCornDC@realDonaldTrump Worse than that. Epidemiologists are saying 40 to 70% of people will get it within the year. Best case scenario, at 2% mortality, that's at least 2.5 million dead in USA alone.
@danielwalterlac@waqasahmed @WarsontheBrink R0 or R-Nought is the average number of people who are infected by one sick person. The flu is less than 2. Covid-19 appears to be somewhere between 2 and 5.
@ancbastos @andersoncooper@CNN Yes, facts are important. Like this article is almost a month old, making it obsolete with how much new data has come out since.
