This election feels like an NFL game where all of the quarterbacks and running backs are gravely injured.
The best strategy becomes punting on first down and hoping the other team fumbles the ball out of the back of their end zone.
So far we’re tied 2-2.
@robertemilem It seems that almost all strategic Democrats are trying to put the LEAST amount of pressure necessary to ensure he drops but it can look like it was still his call. Not only for the sake of his ego but for the politics of it not looking like he was forced. A delicate dance.

@mistermetronome Sometimes the late arrival at the party is what takes it to the next level! As a big Steph Curry fan, she is the closest thing relative to her competition that we’ve seen since Steph. So fun to watch her dominant the game in the way she does.
@redrock_bball The replies to this take are wild.
This is 100% right for every profession— Of course paying people more makes the aggregate better over time, as you attract better talent. We don’t have good doctors because it’s so fun to go to med school. More competition = better quality.
E + C debate moves from different player positions! They give each other notes a la Queen Kellie to Bruce. Ethan’s friend coins the celebrity-couple-name “Brucy-kouturah” and we take credit.
Lots of strategy, some frivolity.

Dear @survivorcbs + @JeffProbst — a brief treatise on why these tribe-swaps are bad/broken game mechanics, even though entertaining.
TLDR: Incentivizing tanking is bad for any game, and this incentivizes tanking in many instances.

@thekellynb Couldn’t agree more. As someone who runs a different coaching business, you encounter so many straw-man arguments that basically boil down to “bad coaching doesn’t work”.
Jeff is saying there isn’t a “trick” to it and coaching will make it worse. He’s describing bad coaching.
@profgalloway I’m sure you’ve heard this a few times by now, but I think the math is wrong on the Math + Trump pod. You gave him a 41% chance, but that would be chance of being convicted 4x. If each instance is 80% chance of conviction, it would be 20%^4 or 1.6% to escape 4x.
@haralabob Isn’t this spreadsheet a perfect illustration of why the NBA should have the top seeds pick opponents? You should never be penalized for having won more games early in the season if the NBA wants regular season to mean something.
@redrock_bball No better argument for why teams should get to pick their opponents in order of seeding. Should always incentive winning.
The fact that the 5 seed in the west may be actively worse than 6 through 8 is crazy.
