If you are primed to see racism in every black-white interaction and lack the perspective-taking necessary to evaluate alternative explanations for minor disputes between the races, it will be nearly impossible for you not to see racial harm being enacted against your group at all times.

This is why so many black people find it absurd that others do not see the racism they see so clearly — they are confined by this limiting racial assumption and have not cultivated the investigative tools needed to turn their criticality inward on their own unfounded assumptions. They are easily taken in by slogans and hollow talking points.

Public figures who actively encourage this do not seriously care about black people. They are just profiting and they are killing whatever reputational capital the community has left.
