Thinking a lot about this excellent chart, and if we'll see mean reversion. Declining land size over time not factored in, nor is the move to apartment living if it is median house price and not median dwelling price. Increased workforce participation grows GDP per capita too.
This is a great graph from Minack Advisors.
It shows the median house price to nominal GDP per capita ratio over the last 120 years.
Circled in red is introduction of the capital gains tax discount and Howard's doubling of the first home owner grant.

@RoseSugarlove@AdamBandt Only rental properties with solar on the roof to be eligible for negative gearing - the feds don't have much influence over rental properties compared to the states so their options are limited, but that is one policy they could implement.
I can't be 100% sure, but it looks like the machine is actually detecting this fraudulent behaviour and the value shown on the screen is not increasing.
@Jason As someone who has cut some reasonable sized branches over the years when they've come down in storms, I wouldn't go near anything that size. Definitely a job to be outsourced.
Tragic news. I know this spot very well. Normally drivers slow down as multiple entry and exit points to the shopping centre. Looking at the photo is appears the elderly driver has missed the slight downhill bend in the road at the carpark entry and so avoided bumping the kerb.
A 17-year-old school boy has died, another injured, after a car driven by a 90-year-old woman struck a pedestrian in Carlingford. Police have established a crime scene on Rembrandt Street after they were called to the location at 11:20am. https://t.co/OF81oZXOfr #7NEWS
What is the English word to describe an email being sent where you forgot to add the attachment? In the olden days farmers believed that eggs with no yolk were laid by roosters. Could I say "You just sent me a rooster egg" when opening reveals that something important is missing?
Startups that delay product launch for *perfection*, ironically rarely achieve it. Products need customer interaction to improve and NEVER perfect themselves in isolation.
Good to see someone making more money during #SydneyLockdown - never seen this guy in my street before. 2pm, kids still in pyjamas, trying to get them to focus on #Homeschooling but all credit to him and his musical van for turning up on a weekday and getting some new customers
Good to be working in a growing sector, and making a positive environmental impact at the same time. Another market planning a CDS: https://t.co/CVhebVufe6
I am wondering if we will be equally as astounded in 38 years time looking at a photo of a recycling bin being contaminated and ending up in landfill. Actually, I hope it is much sooner than that.
@CentreCircular Just found out that our start-up won our category. This event was a great initiative to promote innovative technology to solve big problems both countries face.
