Lisa Raitt on Hegseth insulting Canadian cadets: Number one, to the two cadets who are in that picture, thank you for your service.
Number two, Melania Trump has made this big thing about going after bullies on the Internet. Well, she can look across the table at Pete Hegseth because he just gave a prime example of what bullying on the Internet actually looks like.
He's a jerk and he's a bully and he shouldn't have done what he did and he should be ashamed of himself.
This is a picture of two women from the Vernon Cadet Training Centre, which holds summer programming for 12-18 year olds to develop skills on the way to adulthood. Unlike Secretary Hegseth, they do not deserve contempt or ridicule.
For anyone taking care of their elderly mom:
Remember, she never counted the times she woke up to soothe your cries, banish the monsters under your bed, and comforted you back to sleep.
Don’t count the times she needs you now.
Remember to hold her hand as she can only take small steps now, just like she held yours when you needed to be steadied.
Don’t get frustrated when she repeats herself, she spent all her life listening to your trials and tribulations and always knew how to comfort and celebrate you.
When her memory begins to fade, remember, she knew you first and has loved you the longest.
Remember, as her world gets smaller, don’t let her feel alone. For her entire life, you have always filled her world.
Don’t abandon her now.
It’s hard watching the one who gave you life, or the one who chose you, to slowly lose theirs.
It’s even harder for them to know their earthly journey is coming to an end.
Before streaming, quality Disney content (other than movies) was surprisingly rare. Enter: Walt Disney Treasures! These suckers were two-disc sets in tin boxes complete with Leonard Maltin introductions and packed with rare bonus features. Why not include them on Disney+ today?
Prayers up for William Jewel College RB MicahJo Barnett’s family, and friends and loved ones.
MicahJo passed away today after scoring a TD and collapsing on the sideline shortly after.
He was only 20 years old. 💔
My mom’s been trying to visit Italy & her aunt for years but there was always a reason to put it off. This year was finally the year.
Her aunt passed away today. One week away from her departure. There’s no such thing as perfect timing. Do the things. Don’t bank on tomorrows
Dolly Parton reveals that the real Jolene was actually just a little red-headed girl asking for an autograph.
“There was a little girl at one of our shows. She was a little red-headed girl, pretty as she could be. She came up to get an autograph.”
“She said, ‘Would you sign it to Jolene?’ I said, ‘Oh, that’s a pretty name, I’m gonna write a song about you.’”
“I said, ‘If you ever hear a song on the radio called Jolene, you’ll know it’s about you.’”
“I got back to the bus and I was singing, ‘Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, Jolene’ just so I wouldn’t forget the name.”
“That’s why the whole chorus is pretty much just saying the word Jolene.”
Footage of that time @DollyParton wrecked Barbara Walters live, for asking gross and inappropriate questions. Easily one of my favorite interviews of all time.
Always a class act. #RIP
Loved by everybody is not the same thing as agreed with by everybody.
Dolly knew the difference. I’m not sure the rest of us do anymore.
So I went to the mural in East Nashville last night. Somebody had already left flowers. Somebody had already lit a candle in a jar.
I stood there a long time trying to figure out how one woman got a country this angry to agree on her.
I think I know now.
I explain it in the video…
Her family asked for books instead of flowers. https://t.co/GPyI1TB8yC
These are some of the best comedy bits that Dolly Parton did on interview shows and a couple of award shows. She tells jokes, and the ones about herself are the best.

We’re coming up on a very special Monkees anniversary in September.
The Monkees first aired on NBC on September 12, 1966, and 60 years later, I’ll be in Los Angeles on September 12 with Micky Dolenz Celebrates 60 Years of The Monkees.
I guess that means I have no excuse for forgetting the date!
The next year, the show won the Emmy for Outstanding Comedy Series, which was a very nice surprise for a group of people who spent a great deal of time running around, falling over furniture, and trying to look like we knew what was happening.
So here’s my question for you: What was your first Monkees memory? The show, the records, a concert, a rerun, a parent’s record collection, or something else entirely?
And if you’re in Los Angeles, come celebrate with us on September 12. You'll find all the info at https://t.co/iMEKLul08Y

Peter Cullen *is* Optimus Prime
Rest in peace to the legend Peter Cullen, who impacted my life in ways he'll never knew
