Honestly, £262 for a train ticket from Manchester to London is an absolute joke. As a northern, working-class person in the publishing industry, this is hugely frustrating. There's such a disconnect between London and the North and it seems like it will never change.

@EmmaIllustrate It's for the Carnegie Award Ceremony on 21st June. A return ticket but still ridiculous. I've managed to find a cheaper one from Preston but that means an hour drive for me and I'm lucky that @publishinguclan will cover the cost but for a small indie, it's still hard to justify
