For many liberals, “integration” of schools - which they define as sharing the same physical space - is the goal. So when we come talking about equal access to the, which doesn’t require proximity or permission, they see themselves as already having met their social justice goals
@davidphardy There’s a proven systemic subjectivity in the accountability system when it comes to charters. Because many left leaning leaders are charter averse, this type of systemic bias goes unchallenged by many. Bias is bias.
@davidphardy@PaHouseDems It’s also an attack on opportunities. Charters employ more minority educators and provide more opportunities for women. 24% of traditional LEA leaders are female, while in charters 54% are female.
Who would oppose school choice for low income black children. In 1865 and 2022, it’s the people with a financial interest in keeping them in a bad situation.
@DrStevePerry@TheDemocrats@GOP We need to strategically have representation in both parties. However, Black people strategically entering the GOP are crushed by the racism of the party and the attacks from their own people. Need chess not checkers.
I am and always have been a @TheDemocrats, which has become virtually impossible for me to stomach nc of the obscene spending strategies of the party whose solution remains, spend more. Sadly, though, the @GOP refuses to police the overtly racist faction that runs their party.
@darishamedia@MichaelCoard@RepDarisha Bipartisan support was used to change laws when Black Panthers were armed. Trained disciplined Black people with legal guns is a necessity to some and threat to others.
@selmekki@UncleBobbies@Phillys7thWard Also understanding the history of other cultures who celebrate a revolutionary spirit is necessary. We are programmed to be sheep at the slaughter.
@citizenstewart Why doesn’t @rweingarten ever talk about reform and change for the oppressive system she has championed for years? Racism, funding inequity, and disparate treatment of disenfranchised people have driven parents to look for options. If she removes the option, what’s her fix?
I commended the support for reproductive choice, but can’t help wonder why @JoshShapiroPA and @GovernorWolfPA don’t show school choice support. https://t.co/GOS7A0VFRK
Glad you came to town. You know our city and we’re fortunate to have you join us. Black and brown families demand more and better educational options. What we’re asking of this city and state is just meet the demand. #FCCS
