Several Michigan prospects made strong impressions playing with Rise Elite Basketball at the Prep Hoops Great Lakes Finals.
2027 PG Carter Hartfield (Bloomfield Hills) continues to separate himself with strength, pace, and true lead guard instincts. Physical downhill guard that absorbs contact, controls tempo, and consistently looks to create for teammates.
2027 Eugene North Jr. (West Bloomfield) showed offensive versatility with perimeter shot-making, craft in the mid-range, and the ability to score from multiple angles. Skilled scorer with confidence and creativity.
2028 Julien Harden (Pontiac Notre Dame Prep) continued to prove he belongs playing up. Quick, aggressive guard with change-of-direction ability, toughness at the rim, and scoring instincts that continue to trend upward for Rise Elite Basketball.

Great 1st tournament for the Rise Elite Boys. @enorth__jr3 and @chartfield140 along with newcomer Chase Howard, dominated. @mjhitchcock08 , @jakobehickmann , could not be stopped, Elijah Haynes gave great minutes off the bench and made some big plays, and Amari Haynes was our top defensive Player, locking down the other team's top guards.
BH 62, Lake Orion 45.
@DaronMason15 33p and scores his 1,000 point!
This young man stays on the path, is coachable, is surgical in the system, understands the game, has high character, excels in the classroom, and is an outstanding teammate!
@WSUWarriorsMBB commit!
Proud!
@mjhitchcock08 and @chartfield140 had a great visit at WCCCD Basketball and Coach Turner at their new state of the art arena downtown that is named after my old AD Thomas Howard. It was nice to be back home at the birthplace of my college coaching career.
