The Flock CEO is calling people that don’t want 24x7 government surveillance terrorists.
I have an idea - let’s put a public live feed camera outside his house. Let’s make sure we have drones and camera systems following him around. Or better - why doesn’t he make his cell phone data available to the public for 24x7 monitoring of his location and who is with him in a car?
I’m guessing this scrawny 12 year old nerd lecturing us on not wanting to be surveilled won’t share his data publicly so why should he be able to force us to?
While mainstream media will scrub his legacy with polite terms like "maverick," let’s be perfectly clear about who he was. For decades, Graham was one of Washington’s most bloodthirsty warmongers, consistently beating the drums for endless corporate-backed foreign interventions—from Iraq to Iran—that slaughtered millions and left the globe in ruins.
He capped off his career by ditching every shred of his supposed principles to become a spineless enabler of authoritarianism. By shielding an insurrectionist, rubber-stamping the subversion of democratic norms, and amplifying far-right extremism, Graham actively abetted the rise of American fascism.
He traded the rule of law for personal proximity to power. His true legacy is one of cowardice, opportunism, and devastation.
Realizing that you can stay seated during the pledge because the Constitution overrules your middle school homeroom teacher was a formative experience for so many young activists
It's so scary to think we have to find somewhere to store the dangerous waste like a desert or underground or something, which is a major problem unlike with fossil fuels where we safely store the waste in the atmosphere and our lungs
People forget that in 2016 Reddit was synonymous with “Nazi” and, to their credit, they responded by doing the only correct move and nuking every right wing board they could find from orbit.
it’s called “life.” You walk to the store. Maybe you see someone you know on the way. You find a dollar on the ground. The sun shines on your face. You are participating in the world.
This story gets so much worse. Apparently this all started because police were called out for a disturbance after her husband broke their tv out of anger after finding out his brother was killed by Israel in Gaza. The husband is Palestinian. When the police were taking him into custody his wife stopped them because she wanted to accompany him and that is when the officer threw her on the ground for “interference.” The couple was cooperative with the police the entire time and yet this is how they were treated.
She delivered the baby prematurely because of the physical trauma on her body but thankfully both she and the baby survived and are in good health. She easily could have miscarried.
This entire police department should be investigated and that officer should be arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
Young people are always told what not to do. But what should you do?
Did you know that most public libraries have a Nintendo Switch to use? That parks show free movies at night? That there's a map of pickup basketball games?

Because public programs mean nothing if you don't know how to access them.
