Employee compensation workaround: If the business pays for an employee’s membership and treats it as taxable compensation/wages, the business may deduct it as compensation expense (the employee reports it as income). This does not make the dues themselves a direct business deduction for the club use.

For those who say its not a tax write off don’t understand Ben is literally a golf fitter who can now fit people on course. 2 there so many high end lawyer firms and other fields that do this

Update on possibly joining a club.

1 year trial membership:
•No initiation upfront
•$700/mo dues
•Continue membership into year 2, then $11k initiation due
•age out of <40 membership, no additional initiation owed, dues go up about $200/mo

Club is 12 min from my house and studio.

This is a legit golf question…. Do we think tennis could be speeding up my golf swing causing really bad timing issues?

I picked up tennis for the first time over the winter and I now have had the worst year of golf so far, my swing in particular is just so inconsistent. The opposite of what I’m used to.

I think that if public courses allow any golfer scratch - 20+ handicap, there should be 2 cups on each hole. 1 regulation and 1 double the size.

@themattbank Good swing usually equals good score. I bet overall for all pro athletes they live in that handicap range. That range is rock solid golf

Are golfers considers athletes? Would we be considered athletic? My coworkers say no
