Venezuela: Trump issued orders to invade Venezuela and abduct Madura. These actions raise one all-important question, namely, did he have the AUTHORITY to issue those orders? This is a question for the Supreme Court. All else in current political discourse is NOISE.
All this talk about establishing “Age Limits” for politicians is ridiculous. If you’re going to pursue policies of that general nature, they would have to establish HEALTH LIMITS, not Age Limits. Many octogenarians are sharp and many younger folks are barely functioning. Old age establishes little per se as far as a person’s capabilities are concerned. Lord knows I am older than dirt but still posting this factoid of wisdom, am I not? 😂
Where is it written that our Federal Government must be a welfare agency? The needy people are most efficiently identified and served by state and regional governments.
@VicToensing The costs associated with BUILDING the ballroom are one thing, but what no one is talking about is the never ending OPERATING COSTS. I’ll bet none of the donors has signed up for any of THAT! Full time employees? Kitchen facilities? Lots of restrooms? Cleaning? Etc.
@elonmusk@SebGorka The most promising answers are defensive measures. Assume the worst and prepare for it. Red Flag Laws and other proactive measures aren’t going to work.
How many oil refineries are there in Russia? If Ukraine’s drones could disable ALL or most of them, especially the major ones, it would immeasurably increase Ukraine’s bargaining position toward ending the war.
“The Social Security Trust Fund is on track to run out of money in 2034.” Must they continue to post crap like this? There is no Trust Fund. There is no chance that our politicians would sit back and allow monthly payments to Social Security recipients to cease, or even be significantly reduced. Payments would simply come out of the same bucket from which all other government obligations are fulfilled. What does it matter whether that bucket is called a Trust Fund or something else? 🤔
@NeveltenJohn That may be “current” law, but there is no reason that the applicable laws can’t be changed such that current benefits can be continued under new financial realities.
Why is it that Trump sends multiple fund raising requests to his “supporters” nearly every single day? What are the primary uses that he makes of the donations?
There have been many stories posted to the internet about Donald Trump’s stiffing contractors who have done work for him. My question is: If Trump’s bad behavior is so well known, why are contractors willing to bid? Makes no sense.
@elonmusk So long as we have HUGE debt, we shouldn’t be sending money to ANYONE! If anything, they should be sending money to US, to keep the Golden Goose alive!
