Can you explain adjustment calculations. Your AGI adjustment is more than their total income. Why would they have 10k of NIT when all income is active?

His reply: we don’t actually check the numbers before we send out the report

@uptonaccounting My firm loves it! It has tremendously more security than ChatGPT which allows you to upload financials and tax returns and provide detailed summaries for clients to understand. I have not had to do one virtual tax review since I started creating the summaries.

@adammarkowitzEA My fav: client who is trustee of his own self directed 401k contributes from scorp, then pulls inv funds to his trust to invest in oiland gas in the trusts name, never returning investment proceeds to the 401k. doesn’t have assets to require 5500 filing, But he read a book so ….

@CoFoundersNik TaxGPT is pretty fantastic. Great for research and can safely and securely summarize financials and tax returns to produce an easy to understand summary for a client in less than 5 mins. Saved me a ton of time so far this season and significant reduced review meetings .
