⚡️This email is one of the most quietly revealing artifacts of the entire post-2008 era.
Peter Thiel isn’t predicting socialism here. He’s diagnosing the terminal logic of late capitalism: when ownership becomes inaccessible, belief in the system dissolves.
He’s mapping structural inevitability.
The key insight is in that last line:
“If one has no stake in the capitalist system, then one may well turn against it.”
Every economic order survives only as long as its participants believe they have a stake in its rewards. When that belief breaks, when capital accumulation is delayed beyond a generation, the feedback loop collapses.
In plain terms:
•Boomers owned.
•Gen X still managed to buy in.
•Millennials rent the world their parents own, and Gen Z is now locked out entirely.
The result isn’t ideological socialism. It’s resentful capitalism - a system where people still chase wealth but no longer trust the architecture that allocates it. That’s the precursor to all great systemic transitions - Rome, Weimar, post-Soviet Russia, even 18th-century France.
Thiel’s email is almost tragic in tone because he’s speaking to the very class - Zuckerberg, Andreessen, Sandberg - who became the gatekeepers of the new digital feudalism. They turned “ownership” into platform access, and “opportunity” into subscription. The economy was financialized, then digitized, then moralized - and in each step, capital got lighter, faster, and further removed from the people whose lives depend on it.
What he’s really saying is this:
Capitalism doesn’t fail when the rich get richer.
It fails when the poor stop believing they can join them.
That’s the pivot we’re living through right now. The “Millennial socialism” he mentions is the immune response of a generation whose time horizon was stolen.
The irony is that Thiel, the ultimate capitalist contrarian, saw it first.
And he was right.
The generation that couldn’t buy the system will end up rewriting it.
A year ago Donald Trump had seemingly accomplished the impossible. He had pulled off the greatest political comeback in US history and, what was even more impressive and seemingly impossible, he won the culture and the youth. The Democrats were completely discredited after years of lies and destruction.
Donald Trump came into office with record high approval ratings both for him personally and for his agenda. Wokeism and progressivism had been defeated and a new America First coalition seemed unbeatable.
Last night the Democrats had a great night. This comes after weeks of MAGA being in a full political civil war. Trump currently has his lowest approval ratings. He’s about as popular as George W Bush after two disastrous wars and an economic crash. The youth has abandoned him and many of the lefts wokest activists are reasserting their control over the culture, now under the promise of socialism.
How did this all happen? How did this administration blow such an incredible opportunity to roll back the destructive forces that threaten this Nation’s very survival?
Ask yourself honestly, no matter where you come down on the issue: what is this all about. What is the MAGA coalition arguing about? Why have the youth abandoned Trump? Why do cultural giants like Joe Rogan, Theo Von, Andrew Schultz and a bunch of gen z streamers with 10 million followers all speak poorly about Trump today when they were doing that Trump dance last year?
The answer to all of this is Israel. Like it or not, that’s the truth. Instead of America First, we got Israel first instead.
If MAGA is serious about avoiding President AOC, if they actually see that as the threat that I do, then we must embrace Tucker Carlson’s vision that he laid out on my show: be the America First movement.
Or we can follow Mark Levin’s plan of canceling all of the most popular voices and running on the most discredited unpopular neocon wars.
Your choice MAGA
Fascinating message. The first paragraph praises some "pro-Israel" Democratic governors. The second paragraph urges Mamdani not to prioritize "foreign policy issues that are unrelated to the lives of most New Yorkers."
Truly one of the most undignified deaths of recent times, instant death fully on video, wife turns your funeral into a WWE event. The youth will only remember you for ai edits of you as different rappers
This is unreal. Italian journalist Gabriele Nunziati was just fired for asking EU officials this question: "You’ve been repeating several times that Russia should pay for the reconstruction of Ukraine. Do you believe that Israel should pay for the reconstruction of Gaza since they have destroyed almost all its civilian infrastructure?"
Nunziati's employer, Italy's Nova news agency, called the question "completely inappropriate and based on a mistaken premise."
I for one think it's a logical question that calls out obvious double standards 🤷♂️
But of course it's easier to do it the EU way: brand uncomfortable questions as heretical thought crimes, excommunicate the questioner, and preserve the faith. We've done that a few times in our history.
YouTube deleted all my coverage of Israeli soldiers shooting civilians, including children targeted on a live stream, along with my entire account.
No community guidelines violated & 3 separate excuses given to me. Then Google deleted my email & won’t respond to appeals.
