As of 2001-2003 tution fee was around 2,350 (afterward increased to about 11,350) and 80 for Hostel fees. My degree cost less than 30k.

In 1989, the tuition fee at Bayero University Kano (BUK) was just ₦60, and that amount even covered student accommodation.

Today, however, students pay between ₦95,000 and over ₦110,000, depending on their course of study and level, excluding other additional charges.

Times have changed, the economy has changed, and the cost of education has changed as well.

Do you think this increase is justified, or has higher education become too expensive for students?
