Some of my favorite graphs from Opus 5 launch. We put a ton of work into making this model token efficient across domains while still raising the intelligence bar.

It feels very smooth to use and I prefer it over Fable 5 for many coding tasks.

Just over 6 months later, Opus 5 now produces near-superhuman level spreadsheets and slide decks that match what a consultant would make. Things are changing fast.

Releasing a model this capable comes with risks. Without safeguards, Fable 5’s capabilities in areas like cybersecurity could be misused to cause serious damage.

Queries on a narrow range of topics will instead receive a response from our next-most-capable model, Opus 4.8.

.@altcap surveyed 300 companies and found that even those aggressively optimizing their Claude usage still plan on growing their AI spend by a lot.

Starting June 15, paid Claude plans include a monthly Claude Agent SDK credit.

It covers usage on your own scripts and agents, claude -p, and third-party apps built on the SDK (OpenClaw, Conductor, etc) and it's separate from your regular usage limits.

New version of Claude Code in the desktop app dropped today with tons of new features and performance improvements.

Between Cowork and Code, I've found I don't really need to open other apps (or even my terminal) to do most of my work now.

Some of my favorite things in Opus 4.7:
- Very good at async work and following instructions
- Effort levels are far more predictable for token control (+ new xhigh level)
- No more downscaling of high-res images
- Noticeably more taste in UIs, slides, docs
