Captain Smit Machchhar, you are a hero of Israel, India, and all of humanity!
In my letter to you which you received over the weekend, I shared our prayers for your full and speedy recovery.
As I wrote in my letter, I look forward to welcoming you to Jerusalem once you regain your strength. On behalf of the people of Israel, I would be honored to present you with Israel’s highest recognition of civilian heroism, the Israeli Presidential Award for Civilian Heroism.
Captain Smit Machchhar is a HERO.
In the face of the gravest danger and despite being seriously injured, he showed immense courage and an unwavering resolve to protect the lives of others.
His valour helped save hundreds of lives and avert a great tragedy.
India is proud of Captain Machchhar.
Praying for his speedy recovery, renewed strength and good health.
The nation is proud of Captain Smit Machchhar. His heroic courage and incredible presence of mind have deeply touched us all.
Even after being seriously injured in a moment of grave peril, he remained determined to protect the lives of others. His bravery and quick response helped prevent a major tragedy and saved many precious lives.
I salute his indomitable spirit. I pray for his speedy recovery and good health.
Our Embassy in Riyadh and Consulate in Jeddah have been following the health condition of Mr Smit Machchhar, the brave Indian pilot of Flydubai flight that was diverted to Tabuk today. He is admitted in a hospital in Tabuk city in northwest Saudi Arabia and receiving necessary medical attention. A full update on his health is awaited but he is reported to be in stable condition. We hope that he recovers from his injuries at the earliest. We are in touch with his family and assure them that we will continue to follow up on his health with Saudi authorities and extend all possible assistance for his wellbeing.

Happy #IndependenceDay Day to India 🇮🇳, one of the world’s great civilizations, a nation that has mastered the difficult art of being ancient in wisdom and ambitious about tomorrow.
India gave humanity philosophers, mathematicians, poets, warriors and reformers. As Swami Vivekananda reminded us: “Arise, awake, and stop not till the goal is reached.”
The Bhagavad Gita teaches the discipline of doing one’s duty without being enslaved by fear or reward. The Sikh tradition gives us “Sarbat da Bhala”, seeking the welfare of all. Different traditions, one powerful idea: strength has meaning when it serves something greater than itself.
And India knows strength.
When terrorism knocks, India does not confuse fanaticism with activism. It has paid a painful price confronting jihadist violence and Muslim Brotherhood extremist networks alike, and it understands something the world sometimes learns too late: tolerance is a virtue; tolerating those who want to destroy tolerance is not.
India has survived invasions, partition, terrorism and countless crises. It gets knocked down, gets back up, builds another rocket, launches another company, wins another cricket match and carries on.
India is far more than a major strategic partner to the UAE. This relationship is built through trade, technology, energy, and security, but also through millions of human stories connecting our two societies. When times become difficult, real partnerships reveal themselves, and India and the UAE have repeatedly stood together.
Two ambitious nations. Two proud civilizations. Two societies that understand that peace requires strength, prosperity requires stability, and extremism must never be allowed to steal the future from our children.
From the UAE to India: Happy Independence Day.
May the Tricolour always fly over a nation that is secure enough to defend itself, wise enough to pursue peace, and confident enough to keep surprising the world.
Jai Hind.

Heavy rain pouring in
Dubai & the UAE right now.
An Emirati guy saw
some delivery heroes
sheltering from the rain and cold
picked them up in his car & drove
them to safety..
This is the real spirit
of the Emirates this is our lifestyle
not just an act!😎🇦🇪
The United Arab Emirates possesses one of the world's most powerful air defense systems, and the strongest in the region after Israel, comprising:
- PATRIOT system 🇺🇸
- THAAD system 🇺🇸
- PANTSIR-S1 system 🇷🇺
- SKY-NIGHT system 🇦🇪
- MSAM system 🇰🇷
- BARAK-8 system 🇮🇱
The UAE's air defense today achieved a success rate of more than 96% in intercepting missiles after destroying 132 out of 137, and more than 93% in intercepting drones after intercepting 195 out of 209, for a total of 327 threats intercepted out of 346 with a success rate of around 95%. This is a figure that places it among the highest interception rates globally, which typically range between 85% and 95% depending on the type of threat and the conditions of engagement.
So don't worry . .
By the will of God, no unwanted object will approach
We are the safest country in the world 🇦🇪⚔️
Four million Indians wake up every day in the UAE and go to work, open their shops, teach in classrooms, build companies, treat patients, and raise families.
Life is moving. Schools are open. Offices are running. Flights are landing. The country is steady.
The UAE was built on order, discipline, and foresight. Security here is structured, layered, and constant. Every resident matters. Every community is part of the national fabric.
India and the UAE are connected through decades of shared effort and shared success. That connection is visible in every neighborhood and every industry.
To the families watching from India: your loved ones are in a country that plans carefully, acts decisively, and protects responsibly.
This is a place of stability.
This is a place of trust.
This is home for millions and it remains secure. 🇦🇪🇮🇳
I’ve lived in Dubai for 21 years. It’s my home away from home. In the last 24 hours, I’ve seen some major global handles mock this city because of the adversity it now faces. If you invested in Dubai, you weren’t forced to, if you chose to make it your home, it was also a choice and most of us Indians living in Dubai will stand by the city, its leadership.
This doesn’t mean I don’t love my country. I am Indian and my Father fought 3 wars for India, my Grand Uncle was a Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu for 10 years. I am a hardcore patriot but upbringing is everything. Integrity is key. Some of these handles can do some reading up on the concept. #istandwithdubai
More than ten million expatriates from all over the world live with us in the UAE. They love us, and we love them; they respect us, and we respect them. In such circumstances, we can feel their gratitude toward this generous country 🇦🇪
Swati Maliwal is doing what AAP used to do with Congress in 2012 13 and 14.
The sound quality, production quality and the editing of this video are also good. Otherwise a bad sound and production quality won't make such an impact.
BJP should learn something from this.
