Chatham Town Official Historian & fan also Spurs fan, Football Heroes Bobby Harrison, Jack Evans, Glenn Hoddle, Jimmy Greaves, Kevin Hake & Roy of the Rovers
An extract from my column in Programme Monthly& Football Collectable where I write about an old Medway FC programme from Chats Kent League days, I also write in this 4-page column about Shoot & Scorcher mags & annuals alongside other footy stuff.
This new look format is one of the best Football magazines to come out and with many print mags on our wonderful game now disappearing, make sure you do not miss out in getting your copy and I write my own column often covering Chatham Town and other Kent club's stuff
This great photo of Gills appeared in Soccer Star on 27th September 1968 and it includes Chats greatest ever Bobby Harrison front row second from the left, Dick Tydeman as sub! and FA Cup winner David Peach.
@ChathamTownFC@max_ePhotos Max you are a legend, so many great Chats photos captured by you are part of our great history, thank you so much, you are a real Chats legend and in our history forever. A brilliant photographer & top person!
@KentJJH I had put it all in the programme and on-line but nobody really interested and some of them wanted them for nothing and I have lost Β£1500 over the years on getting these books done at cost price and with prices rises no longer viable.
The CTFC season review that the fans did not want, as print cost have escalated and no interest so I done a free 24-page digital issue in which only one fan requested, end of era I have done 20 books on Chats but will continue with a digital review only, some extracts
@KentJJH Hi Joe
No print copies done as fans not prepared to pay as I got a hostile reception last season about cost as printing costs have gone sky high so I offered up a free digital copy that only one fan took up. If you send me your email address Joe I can email you a digital copy.
CTFC 2023-24 review Digital Issue- I had included a match report on every league, all the results, league table, appearances, goal scorers & attendances alongside all the match sponsors and supporters pages.
Its been a good run but all good things come to an end and I will be undertaking records for our historical archive going forward and currently transferring all my research and unpublished stuff into electronic format for future safekeeping.
