Nice week for most of us, but an offshore storm will send some rough surf and gusty breezes to our beaches through Wednesday, when there could be some rain south and east of the city if the storm passes close enough. Temperatures stay seasonable before trending lower by Friday.

A nice autumn week awaits most of us, but an offshore storm will bring rough surf, beach erosion, and even minor tidal flooding, especially at the Jersey Shore. There's an outside shot that some rain from that storm could clip the Jersey Shore and eastern Long Island by midweek.
