At night the menudo business turns into a taco stand Tun by my uncle and his family. My grandfather opened it in the 70’s to supplement the earnings from the menudo stand and it’s still going today.

My family has been running this menudo joint in Guadalajara since the 1960’s. Started by my grandfather it’s now run by 2 of my aunts who work day in and out to keep this family joint going. The smell of Chile roasting takes me back to my childhood growing up around this place.

My grandfather. He’s retired from the shop in Guadalajara and moved back to his hometown of Arandas but the boredom got to him and now he’s serving menudo out of his home every Saturday and Sunday.
