If Tonali is our next bit of business, before any signings, the club really is. Joke. Major major regression. Going backwards fast, I honestly fear a relegation season ahead #NUFC
🚨 EXCL: Tottenham Hotspur open talks with Newcastle United over deal for Sandro Tonali. Man City pursuit ongoing - #MCFC & #THFC talking to 26yo’s reps in bid to agree personal terms. But contacting #NUFC shows Spurs intent to get deal done @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/2LnAjY7hQ3
One thing that will always baffle me is how some sections of our support will make excuses for the club no matter how obvious it is that we’ve got things badly wrong.
Even after a 12th place finish, two derby defeats, and Sunderland qualifying for the Europa League in their first season back in the Premier League, there are still people desperate to explain it all away.
We lost Isak. Mitchell was shite. Bruno was injured. We had a European away game before both derbies.
At some point, you have to stop making excuses and acknowledge what’s right in front of you. The club has regressed, and pretending otherwise doesn’t make you a better supporter.
It must be absolutely blissful living in a state of perpetual optimism while ignoring the blindingly obvious warning signs.
@SkySports_Keith All they had to do is fly out, show intent with the deal and medical, steal a march and get it done. All this dawdling about and stalling is becoming a joke. They haven't learnt one thing from last summer
P.S. The world knows we're after Lamine Camara since we "accelerated talks" OVER A MONTH AGO.
And James Trafford for two years.
Do you have any faith we sign them?
Amateurs. Penny pinchers. Hamstrung by absentee owners who aren't even prepared to sponsor the football club.
Is there a worse run club than #NUFC at the moment? False promises, same mistakes time and time again, players wanting out. Football gone to pot. Coach losing his power on the team and tactics. Seriously considering not renewing my membership.
Utter shambles
🚨💣 EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool are set to sign Víctor Muñoz with HIJACK done, HERE WE GO! 🔴🇪🇸
Newcastle in advanced talks for days but #LFC enter the deal, verbally agree terms with Muñoz and activate €40m release clause.
All set to be signed and another big surpise. 🧨
It’s why football will slowly die out.
You’ve got Villa and Newcastle absolutely huge clubs and arguably on a par with Spurs, playing in Europe regularly not able to spend, but Spurs can finish x2 17th and spend what they want.
Same with Man United.
Broken system
