In 2018/19 a project was launched by the Italian Federation which allowed clubs to create second string teams that compete at a high level - from day one, Juve were involved.

Agnelli's idea behind this was to set the club up for the future while also reducing costs of signing players:

"The second team project allows us to be sustainable and reduce costs by creating players in house for our first team.

In the coming years we can aspire to have at least 50% of our First Team made up from players from our youth sector."

On top of being able to develop talents, they're also able to profit on loaning/selling them to get experience at other clubs.

Even though he's no longer the President, Agnelli's touch is still being seen at Juventus.
