I feel sick. How do we blow that lead??
Dunno how we come back from that. Brutal loss.
Fox gotta take a lot of the blame for this one. Wemby needed to be better. Lack of late game offense all season and Mitch Johnson hasn't fixed it. Gotta figure it out on the fly.
We’re excited to get back at it, welcome back so many familiar faces, and bring new people into the family as we continue building our team for the reopening.
It's been a long and tumultuous road, but we are happy to share a positive outcome for The Lodge and our devoted community of members and followers worldwide.
Earlier today, a Williamson County Grand Jury heard our case and declined to indict. The decision reflects that the investigation conducted by TABC, including the March 10, 2026, enforcement action, did not support charges of criminal conduct, consistent with our position throughout. We are thankful the grand jury carefully weighed the facts and law and decided in our favor.
Our commitment to operating ethically and in full compliance with Texas law was tested, but it’s a commitment we’ve never wavered from. As a premier Texas cardroom, we’ve always held ourselves to a higher standard, grounded in transparency, accountability, and respect for the law. That’s why our members can feel confident they’re part of a club that sets the standard for professionalism, trust, and experience in Texas.
In true Lodge fashion, we knew we were holding a strong hand, one built on integrity, discipline, and doing things the right way. With the support of our members, our team, and trusted legal counsel, we did not fold.
One of the strongest cards we held was the tremendous outpouring of support we received from our members and staff. Your vocal support showed your continued belief in The Lodge and the idea of community. Bringing people together, creating a great social experience, and building real connections is at the core of what we do. Your support throughout this ordeal has meant everything to us and reinforced just how strong this community is. Our most heart-filled appreciation to each of you who stood by us as we navigated the uncertainty of the past several weeks.
As we put this situation behind us, we are working diligently to get The Lodge Round Rock operational again as quickly as possible and will continue to update the community as a reopening date is set. To express our sincerest gratitude for your unwavering support, we are planning several special events to welcome back our members and open the door to new players as well.
To our loyal staff, we look forward to having you walk through our doors once again. We know how disruptive this was to you and your families. Know that throughout this entire process, you have been at the forefront of our minds. We recognize that the success of the club is heavily reliant on you and the experience you create for our members. Returning employees can expect to learn more about a new rewards program designed just for you.
More announcements including a grand reopening date, tournament and chip payouts, updated processes and procedures, etc. are to come. We look forward to welcoming you all back to The Lodge and to the community we all make together.
BREAKING: All charges against myself, my partners, and the Lodge have been officially rejected.
The seized money and equipment will be returned and we will reopen as quickly as possible, hopefully within a few weeks.
The Grand Jury in Williamson county heard the allegations against us, and refused to authorize proposed charges.
Justice has prevailed.
The damage to our staff and members has been tremendous, and it is now time to rebuild.
We will be putting together a kickoff event in the near future.
In the words of a great man: “you gotta know when to hold'em”
@DougPolkVids Very dependent on how much history Robl had with gavri. If very little history with him, its an amazing fold and 1 of the best ever. If he knows him well and has an extensive history, its still impressive but not anywhere close to best ever and Robl probably hates it was aired 🤣
I spoke with poker legend @Erik_Seidel about the negative impact of leaving the tax deduction for gambling losses at 90%.
Despite what some of my colleagues like @SenatorLankford believe, inaction will have serious, concrete consequences on the gaming industry and economy across the country including Oklahoma which has over 140 tribal casinos. It will also force gamers to pay taxes on income they never earned which is just unfair.
If we don't get this fixed, many gamers will face a difficult choice of whether they can afford to play or not. #FAIRBETAct
Yesterday was a tremendous victory for poker in the state of Texas.
After years of fighting in court, the Texas Supreme Court has DENIED the city of Dallas's attempts to close a poker room there.
This ruling was the biggest possible win to protect our right to play poker.
Shuffle up and deal!
NOT EVEN JD “JUST DANCE” VANCE CAN SAVE TRUMP FROM THE DISASTROUS MAPS “WAR” HE HAS STARTED. NOT EVEN HIS EYELINER LINES LOOK AS PRETTY AS CALIFORNIA “MAP” LINES. HE WILL FAIL, AS HE ALWAYS DOES (SAD!) AND I, THE PEACETIME GOVERNOR — OUR NATION’S FAVORITE — WILL SAVE AMERICA ONCE AGAIN. MANY ARE NOW CALLING ME GAVIN CHRISTOPHER “COLUMBUS” NEWSOM (BECAUSE OF THE MAPS!). THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER. — GCN
Thank you @nytimes for covering the bipartisan FAIR BET Act!
I’ll continue pushing Congress to pass this critical legislation that would protect the gambling industry not only in Nevada, but across the country.
Momentum for the FAIR BET Act continues to grow in the House!
Thank you @RepSusieLee and @RepGilCisneros for signing on.
This has true bipartisan support. We all recognize this fix as commonsense policy.
The failure of the Senate’s unanimous consent measure is not surprising. The Senate got us into this mess and it’s now time for both chambers to unite behind my bipartisan FAIR BET Act to ensure that average and high-stakes gamblers do not pay taxes on money they never won.
If we do not do this, more gamblers will move to unregulated and untaxed offshore markets; more gamblers will not report winnings; and revenue and jobs will be lost, not just in Las Vegas, but across the nation.
We will all be losers if the FAIR BET Act is not passed by Congress and signed by the President.
The FAIR BET Act is gaining more bipartisan support!
Thank you @RepHorsford, @Congressman_JVD, and @MarkAmodeiNV2 for co-sponsoring.
Now it’s time to eliminate this unfair tax on phantom income.
The FAIR BET Act now has bipartisan support! Thank you @RepTroyNehls for signing on.
I will continue championing this legislation through Congress.
Keep the momentum going!
Buried within the BS Republican Budget bill is a provision that harms poker players and those who gamble by limiting loss deductions. I’m working on a legislative fix that fairly treats gaming losses in the tax code.
Im gonna put this in Joe Rogan language so .@joerogan understands what Douglas Murray was saying about “experts” being on your show.
If you started platforming a bunch of white belts who were really popular on social media to talk about JuJitsu techniques on your podcast because they’re “interesting”, and you sat there and agreed with them the whole time even though they were saying a bunch of made up bullshit about jujitsu, you would lose credibility.
That doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be able to train, it just means maybe you should be platforming black belts instead.
