Dear Followers, I can't say that the moment has particularly been prepared for, or that it's the end. But it's only fair to let you all know, at this stage in the evident accelerated gain of entropy here in this musky twitterverse, that I return here infrequently.
So, perhaps…
@ChadGPeaty > I want to understand Bidders' editing processes.
And so do I, after all these years. The closest I can get is to say that you ensure you're not imposing the story on the characters. It's their story, so let them tell it.
@TheCastrovalvan @steedstylin@calvinopodcast No, I know nothing of Calvino. What should I start with?
(Sorry to be unresponsive here on Twitter. It used to receive my daily attention. Of late it seems to be fading from my life since developing a distinctly musky aroma.)
@shinyford @Telegraph@jkjourno Well, exactly. Raising the suspicion that @jkjourno may be @TuckerCarlson in disguise, warning us that being nasty to the Russian invaders is bound to precipitate WWIII. As you wreak, so shall you reap may be the message the @Telegraph is attempting to convey here.
WHERE DID THOSE SUBS DISAPPEAR TO, @telegraph? This is supposed to be a newspaper of record. Can someone please explain to @jkjourno (page 14, World News today) that you don't "reap havoc". You wreak it.
@Psychic_Paper @Heraldofcreatio @Randomisation20 As I recall, the season I was commissioned to write Pinacotheca for was entirely scrapped and replaced by Trial of a Time Lord. I was never asked to write for that.
The BBC bought and paid for Pinacotheca. So I imagine whether that story ever sees the light of day is up to them.
@Randomisation20 That's very kind of you, John. But I'm pretty much off the Doctor Who scene these days.
If you're masochistic enough to feel you need more of me, you can find me on YouTube. Searching for "Chris Bidmead Marion Kerr" will get you an hour of me, which should be more than enough.
@MichaelPageUK I thought you might like to know that somebody on Telegram is cold calling using the name of your company and thus bringing it into disrepute:
While all those legacy blue ticks undergo rapid unscheduled disassembly, my personal gold tick firmly remains here on my tweets. To see it, of course, you'll need to be a member of my exclusive $8 per month subscription service.
Further adventures with the TOS 5 NAS operating system as we dip our toes for the first time into TRAID, @Terramasters proprietary asymmetric drive array solution: https://t.co/JcP6Ipt9DV
@robertjoslipek I had a sense (so I thought, at least) of what made the show unique and that first draft was just "Doctor Who Meets Dracula". Confrontation about this reduced Dicks to tears at one point, which wasn't part of my job. But what we needed was good scripts not writers who felt good.
@neilandrozani That's a lovely thing for an old man to read at this bleak time of year, Neil. Thanks.
I'm currently cheering myself up with the early episodes of @DMinghella's #DocMartin. If you're seeking TV perfection, you might want to cast your eyes in that direction.
@BarbaraYetaxa Thank you all for the birthday greetings. And apologies for not responding sooner. I've been paying less attention to Twitter these days, for some reason...
@PhilipM04217017 @ambitmagazine BTW, @ambitmagazine, I notice that I'm missing from your list of "All Contributors". Should we fix this?
BTW2, my old friend #DeborahLevy does appear on that list but with a total of zero contributions. Do we actually have her or not?
@PhilipM04217017 @ambitmagazine The epub of these two stories is freely downloadable from my Github account. I've put the download address in a Mastodon post you can get to via my Twitter profile. Sorry about the paperchase but my trust in the utility of Twitter is waning. Let me know if you need help.
